I was reading everybodys threads and comments....then i thought... Why nobody gives a fuKc about Costa Rica???
i know we are not as powerful as brazil or Arg, but we are still a descent team, remember last cup, we did better than some of your countries...
Also, remember last weeks...who gave a fukc about Greece? and who is the european champion now?
So if you guys think this post is stupid or something like that, i really dont care....
so lets see how the PAR-CR game goes, maybe i'll have to eat my own words, maybe not, who knows?

    morado, yo estoy contigo, hermanito...
    mi esposa es tica
so no choice, i will be rooting for them and i believe they have a chance of taking out paraguay and possibly chile...
costa rica is one of the more exciting teams from CONCACAF and truthfully i'm glad they came instead of honduras or even EEUU...

Sounds unbelievable, but CR still has a chance to qualify with any win over chile, anyway nor chile, neither CR deserve to be in the quarter finals...

On my personal handicapping and ratings system (I do this for a living) costa rica is good for at the very least a draw with Chile. My $$$ will be on it.

Let's be honest. Copa America just a week or two after CR fired its head coach was at best a good bonding trip and an excursion for the new skipper to see where the leaks in the boat existed. One hell of a maiden voyage at best. Let's carefully examine what this SOB Pinto has done. He took a talented but emotionaly wrecked psyche of a group to play the heavy weight bretheren of SA.

The Cuba debacle is long forgotten. Game by game, Pinto has resurected the Tico squad. it would have been understandable, even acceptable for this team to have bowed out of this tournament 0-3. but no, Pinto tried to outscore Brazil. Didn't work, but impressed the hell out of me. The guy has king sized cojones.

Some how, in two days, he resurected the moral of a goal keeper that had just imploded into a a kryptonic force that denied Chile and Bolivia advancement into the next round. Who are the individuals that come to the forefront? Who are the leaders? PINTO y punto. I have not seen a more goofy sideline demeanor. Has this squad been lucky? Hell yes. That is what they always say about great coaching, lucky.

Pinto has turned a talented dog into a pulsating horse. I suspect that many great things are in store for this group. Most importantly, objective #1 of getting this team ready for the next round of WC qualifying can be scratched off the list. Concacaf, watch your butt. Pinto and CR are ready for you.

In the Costa Rica - Chile game half the stadium was full of chileans that supported loudly their team. The other half was peruvians and some 30 Ticos, the peruvians supported the Ticos, also loudly. Part of the rivalry with our chilean neighbors. Good luck agianst Colombia (another CONMBEOL rival).

Re: Costa rica....who knows? cambia tecnico 2011
