URU1 is Defensor Sporting and CONCACAF3 is Motagua, Argentina4 is Independiente and Argentina2 is Argentinos Juniors. Haha it'd be interesting to see a River-River clash and a possible Cali's clasico in the first round. Looking forward to Porto Alegre's clash too.

All i know the squad worth (Wages and such) for U.Catolica is 3x larger than Riverplates´. However, this is futbol and anything could happen.

U.Catolica is not doing very well in the league. They are around midtable.
Also, Mirosevic is out cause of injury for Catolica. And last, Catolicas best player is Gary Medel.

Jesus, what a ********ing nightmare! I guess I'd have to root for River.

(I mean River-Uruguay, of course. But it still seems unnatural to root for a club called River.)

I gotta say, these first two games have been rather boring. Yesterday's game had both teams proposing interesting things at different points during the game, but the attacks were never deep.

Same thing with Catolica on Tuesday, pushing through the middle at 1 mile/hour with no surprise element. Passing and forward movements were uncreative. The second River goal was just ridiculous... just proves that it's time for Buljubacich to step aside.

I gotta say, those River players are extremely quick and can create quite a lot of plays with some room... but against Catolica, out of 10 plays they attempted to create one could get past the defense in order to create some danger. With some more precision they can be a team to fear.

UAM is pretty much a new team.
They kicked everybody out and got a whole new team.

I don't even know what players they got now (don't really feel like wasting my time trying to find out)

They should've told Buljubasich to take his nap before the match, not during the match, that would've helped Católica too.

    :p

I remember the game against the other River (?) in Copa Libertadores... also a pretty bad game for him.

I'm certain that today's game will be good.

It deserves criticism with its mickey-mouse format.

The only thing I don't agree with is the implication that the tournament needs a group-stage to increase its credibility. That's the last thing Copa Sudamericana needs.

If it was my choice I'd go to that game but you need to know that it's being played in the city of Avellaneda.

Me refería a la nueva derrota de Católica a nivel internacional.;)

Tienen fama de equipo arrugón acá en Chile.

I would say Independiente-Estudiantes too. It'll be played in Avellaneda, not in Buenos Aires, though the stadium is like 2 miles away from Buenos Aires. However, when will you arrive to Argentina? You should consider that, because the ticket sale for Independiente-Estudiantes started today(will continue until the day of the match), and the ticket sale for Argentinos-San Lorenzo will start tomorrow.

Great info thanks. I'm in Palermo(just got here today) now but everything is closed. Any idea of a good place to buy tickets here tomorrow?

Ahh nevermind, I just saw the other thread. I'll try and get to the stadium tomorrow. Como se llama el ques esta en Avellaneda.
