The last memorable clásico was the 3-3 in 2005. I can remember maybe Apertura 2006 quarter final for the Bofo/Venado quick goals and Cabañas penalty miss, or Clausura 2007 semis for Memo’s heroic performance, but nothing else comes to mind. There’s a lot of halfhearted shit talking that goes on before these games but neither team fields emblematic players anymore. Characters like Bofo and Cuauhtemoc are what made those early 2000s games pop. There is genuine hatred between pumas and ame. The barra fights are awesome.
There's quite a few out there. Cubo coming out party to fill in Chicharito shoes. Pina Arellano un 2008 and 2009. The copa i'm 2016. And there's a couple of American wins too that were intense games
Piojo took this game seriously unlike Cardozo I don’t understand why Cardozo opted to play with the majority of subs rather than the starting players in a single elimination game Pendejo
Your boy Rodney secretly hoping the FMF investigation sides with Morelia so Xolos doesn't have to face America.
Because Piojo is a Neanderthal troll, doesn’t know tactics, is a naco, the Mexican trump, etc Forever underestimated and despreciado nuestro Piojo. Shun the nonbelievers. Shuuun.
Oh esnap, Veracruz with the late equalizer, van a penales. InB4 Tiburones pull off the upset and then dispatch Pumas. America v Veracuz final.
