I wouldn't underestimate Brazil. Their 'best' players have been underwhelming, and the young ones will try to get themselves a ticket to Europe. Also, Neymar is such a big star, it can be detrimental to the team as a whole because, when he's playing, all attack goes through him. Mark him out, and Brazil is toothless.
Really? I like it a lot. Take away the Adidas stripes, replace the logo with Nike's and maybe go one shade bluer, and I think you have an interesting secondary kit for us for a half cycle or cycle. I like the pin stripe effect. It would compliment what I think should be our primary "identity" kit with the Waldo hoops mimicking the red and white stripes on our flag.
Agree with the Waldo comment. I hate to say this though... Colombia's kit we saw last night might be the best one in the tourney.
They're also being given a year on the ball since it's hot and the game is playing slow. I'm not going to analyze the quality of these teams too much playing against each other. I'll wait until they play Colombia.
What up with the net supporter thing being further forward than usual? I noticed it last night, it looks strange. Any explanation?
That was nifty from Romero. Dude is a real player, kind of reminds me of David Silva, wears the same number too.
This game so far is a good news for US. CR is playing even with Para. US has some hope to beat theses teams
considering there's been only one shot on goal the entire half and paraguay can't stay onside... this seems likely.
Pretty low quality game so far. Some decent passing but nearly every incisive pass has been poorly weighted.
We haven't seen any other teams yet, not sure how you can consider any team a favorite right now aside from Argentina.
As a US fan, I rather like what I see. Paraguay have some quality in their midfield, but still, I'm liking what I'm seeing overall.
