I see Ali Riley signed. Does she count as an International? Any news on Chapman, Davison, or other Internationals for next year?

Pretty sure she is a dual citizen (US and NZ) so unless WPS have some really wacky rules for who counts as International she isn't.

Davison didn't play much and someone from her family was heard saying at the Arsenal v Bobruichanka game that she might come back to Arsenal.

You're right. Riley does not count as an international player b/c she is a US citizen. Also, for those wondering, greencard holders do not count as international player slots in WPS either due to USA employment laws. That's one of the reasons Seger & Sinclar getting greencards was a big deal.

I do wonder how the immigration folks will feel the next time Sahlen tries to get a greencard fast tracked for someone given that Seger was fast tracked a greencard and is gone now. She's going to lose that green card as soon as she makes somewhere else her permanent home plus a couple of other things. And given that Sweden was always going to be her permanent home, I'm surprised more people didn't call bullsh!t when she got it in the first place.

    Makoski signed by Flash:

The Western New York Flash of Women’s Professional Soccer is excited to announce they have signed defender Manya Makoski for the 2012 WPS Season. Makoski, 27, will return to the WPS for the Flash after spending the 2011 season playing for Thor in Iceland where she started 22 games for the club. She also competed for Thor in the UEFA Champions League, eventually falling to Turbine Potsdam who were runner up in Europe this past season.

Makoski was a member of the Los Angeles Sol, who were the WPS Regular Season Champions in 2009. The Connecticut native was an integral part of the LA Sol’s success, appearing in 17 matches for the club. Makoski was selected in the WPS General Draft in the third round after completing a successful career at Arizona State University

All White Kit and Pitchside Report say that Adriana and Allie Long have signed with the Flash. Pitchside Report lists signings for all of the teams:

BTW after December 18th* there are fewer days to go before next season than the number of days that have passed after the 2011 Championship game - we're more than half way there!

*Assumes an April 9th start, like in 2011.

April 9 is a Monday, so April 8 is a better bet. Even sooner! :)

Plan on April 7th vs Philly at PPL Park... first game of the WPS season will be the rematch of the championship.

The Flash announced signing Lori Lindsey - the team is looking pretty strong.

Adriana Martin Santamaria; Alex Morgan; Ali Riley; Allie Long; Ashlyn Harris; Becky Edwards; Beverly Goebel; Brittany Bock; Christine Sinclair; Lori Lindsey; Manya Makoski; McCall Zerboni; Whitney Engen.

Looks like an early April road trip to Philly may be in my future.........
