Tournament being held in Trinidad & Tobago from January 18-28, 2018. USA, Canada & Mexico given automatic births to the tournament. Qualified from Central America are Costa Rica & Nicaragua. Qualified from the Caribbean Zone are Jamaica & Haiti. Top three teams qualify for the U-20 World Cup in France. GROUP A Trinidad & Tobago Haiti Costa Rica Canada GROUP B United States Mexico Jamaica Nicaragua
Take a look at the match schedule..on official site.. only one game scheduled on Sunday... Jamaica and USA both play their 2nd game on Monday and then 3rd one a day after in Tuesday.. an error or is it for real? EDIT: it has to be an error...in view of playing matches only in one stadium
I can't even get the page to properly load, so you're doing better than me. The website does correct the times for your computer's time zone, so that could be the issue. As for local times, US Soccer website has the first game against Nicaragua on Fri, the 19th at 5:30 ET. The second game versus Jamaica is on Sun. Jan 21 (at 6:30 ET), which will overlap with the senior team's game versus Denmark. The third game against Mexico is on Tues. Jan. 23 (at 3 pm ET). So there's less than 48 hours between the matches.
Yes, that schedule is really unhealthy for the players. I am curious to see how many will end up being injured/carrying knocks at the end of the tournament.
Actually there's 16 matches. I don't know why they're all on one field. Is there no other stadium to play at in T&T? I mean, US Soccer would surely be okay with playing elsewhere, since they last time a US team was there the MNT failed to qualify for the WC, and the guys had to cross a moat to get to the field: 917399734809251840 is not a valid tweet id If there's rain, field conditions will not look good.
Also as for where to watch, US Soccer commented on their FB page that the games will likely be streamed online, but they don't know where yet. I'm going to blame CONCACAF for that one because they've had similar last-minute announcements on televising/scheduling even at the senior women's level.
A couple of the US games will be on Univision (UDN), but all matches will be streamed on CONCACAF's youtube page, where you can already see the upcoming live streams (the matches might possibly also be streamed on the CONCACAF website): https://www.youtube.com/user/concacaf

saw the game in full. Huitema looked great, but at only 16, wonder if more bigger/physical defenders will shut her down? the commentators were hyping Stratigatis, though I thought it was more Carle & Regan that dominated the midfield. Wonder why Rose & Fleming not playing? or is Fleming(turns 20, March 11) past her age for u20 competition?
The best of yesterday's games : Huitema and Mondésir. I wonder if Canada will be able to beat the United States for the firts time in a Concacaf U-20 final

There was a red card on the T&T captain in the Canada-T&T game, and it was bad: 954868852927721472 is not a valid tweet id
Yeah, according to rules this situation didn't qualify for red. It should be PK if the handling of the ball was deliberate and YC (no RC - no double penalty rule). My interpretation would be no card at all and PK. Ball rebounded and her arms weren't spread (no card) but still the ball was going into the net and didn't get there cuz of hand play. Well main ref doesn't have replay... yet (VAR's need to come to WoSo as well) but sometimes I wonder why they don't speak with AR's more in situation like this. Some poor ref calls in few other games as well. I remember in one of the previous matches a proper goal scored and then dissmised by the refs on the grounds of imaginary offside call. Unfortunately the same can be said about Conmebol U-20 tourney. There was a lot of ref errors in Venezuela v Bolivia game.
