CONCACAF Qualifying For World Cup 2018 Prediction Contest: Round 3 [R]

I don't know how I missed that. I typed those predictions into my spreadsheet.

@Outburstz and @italiancbr are the two people who predicted Round 1 and/or Round 2 but not Round 3. 11 people have predicted the whole contest so far.

I'm not accepting your predictions for Round 3. You can continue in Round 4. Round 3 is worth 7.8% of the competition.

@Every Four Years

4 per game for an exact score

3 per game for the correct result and being 1 goal off on one team's score in either direction or being 1 goal off on both team's scores in the same direction. Depending on the score of the game, a game can have up to six scores that would be worth 3 points. If the score was 3:1, predictions of 3:0, 3:2, 4:2, 2:0, 2:1, and 4:1 would each be worth 3 points. If the score was 1:1, only two score would result in 3 points, 0:0 and 2:2.

2 per game for any other correct result

Every correct result prediction that is not an exact score is worth 2 or 3 points. Given that Maximiliano Biancucchi had 14 points, 4 correct results, and 2 exact scores, he had 6 points from 2 correct results that weren't exact scores, so he got 3 points each from those games.

When the second legs are done, the score predictions will be adjusted based on how people did. The person with the best score predictions from that component will get a perfect score of 3.9 for that component. The contest is designed so it will add up to 100 points after the Hexagonal.

The aggregate winner prediction were also worth 3.900 points. 17 out of 20 people got all six aggregate winners correct. The exceptions were Sebsasour (predicted Antigua and Barbuda, 3.250 points), zenryan (predicted Antigua and Barbuda, 3.25 points), and dinamo_zagreb (predicted Curacao, and Antigua and Barbuda, 2.600 points). I'm not going to list all 20 people on a separate line for this.

bartecky expanded his lead over me. ioppolo moved up from 9th to 4th and Dr. Gamera moved up from 12th to 8th. dinamo_zagreb fell from 3rd to 12th and jagum fell from 5th to tied for 10th. There's plenty of time for the standings to chance with the contest only 20 percent over.
