What Stéphane Auvray (Kansas City Wizars) said after the draw announcement : " I can't say i'm happy with the draw because it will be very complicated. But i am motivated by the idea of playing the US team, more is at home! Panama is a very athletic team and difficult to play while Canada regularly passes the first round! We must be on top, especially on the athletic plan, knowing that most of our players come out a long championship and will return to a state of freshness in less than ten days. Discussions are well underway in any case since Tuesday in the team (the Wizars) because i am the team-mate of Jamaica captain, a Grenadian, a Honduran, and of course, Americans. (France-Antilles News - March 3th 2011) June 17th in 2007 at Reliant Stadium (Houston) : Guadeloupe 2 Honduras 1 (Angloma, Socrier for Guadeloupe - Pavon for Honduras). A Guadeloupe/Honduras rematch? Yes!
Just got my Gold Cup tickets.....can't wait for the opener. Don't miss out folks, heard it's going to be better than the last one!!!!!
My money is on Mexico reaching the final this upcoming Gold Cup, they have definitely shown that they are ready after an impressive win over Paraguay. More details here: http://www.concacaf.com/page/GoldCup/NewsDetail/0,,12813~2324721,00.html

Hm only 5 European based players in Honduras. And they recently got beat by China. Costa Rica will pose a bigger threat to the US and Mexico.
Lol at mediotiempo's title for this article, what a fail. So only 3 play abroad on this list and the ones in bold are U20 NT members.
7 European based players. read again. and your going off a friendly coached by a clueless interim head coach. smells like 07 all over again
well, at least they finally called up steve purdy. hopelly, dustin corea and paolo suarez can play for the ESNT, in the near future.

Not sure Canada will get 6. I suspect 4 pts and that being enough to progress. Not sure if we will beat or tie both Guad or Panama - could go either way with both, but I don't suspect we'll lose to them. USA on the other hand....will be a very tough start. To say the least. Group D PAN-GUE 1-1 CAN-USA 0-2 CAN-GUE 1-0 USA-PAN 2-1 CAN-PAN 1-1 GUA-USA 0-3 Standings: USA 9 Can 4 Pan 2 GUE 1 GUE will be better than folks think. EDIT: Yep, like you, I hope Canada makes the SF but that's as far as we go. Would LOVE to knock Honduras out after that crap last time around and the previous WCQ nonsense from them.
What Nonsense? Ramoncito torching you in your own backyard [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BttPaebZwfQ"]YouTube - CANADA-HONDURAS ELIMINATORIA 2010‏[/ame] or Costly ripping you to pieces? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEbLT9S2vtc"]YouTube - Honduras vs Canada gol2‏[/ame]
What? I didn't say Honduras wasn't good - some excellent players. But the diving, the shite ref calls, and that crap peno in the last GC.... I like how you omitted that Canada beat Honduras the last time they played - in a friendly. But I'll take it! Canada and Honduras have a great little rivalry now. Looking forward to a QF match with them.
A possible Canada-Honduras match should be very entertaining and highly competitive in the QFs. I would have to give the slight edge to Honduras though cause whenever they play at RFK it seems like a home match for them with very rowdy fans. I don't know if Canada can play well in a hostile environment.
Latin American referees screwed Canada in WCQ and the Gold Cup, in fact the last time out Canada beat Honduras. Honduras looks like a team in decline with their stars aging Guevara, Suazo etc.. Canada on the other hand is younger and looks like a team that will only improve.
