Man, Los Tuzos were lucky to get a draw tonight. Started the match off great w/ a goal in the first minute, but after that it was all downhill.

Tuff times at the moment. 0-0 @ the half. This does favor Creamas

Golasos from Luis Montes & Paul Aguilar seal the deal. However, 9 man Cremas held their own & for a minute, it looked to goto extra time.

It was actually quite sad for me watching Pachuca play so uninspired tonight.

No creativity in the final third of the field and the few good chances were blown by Mendívil and especially Cvitanich who has been a fiasco thus far. I'm starting to think the players don't want to play for Rivarola, sad...

Watched match on FSC. Opportunity lost in my book. Should have done better when Toluca was reduced to 9 men. Freakin' Cota looked shaky between the poles. WTF, where was Calero??

Mendívil blew what should have been the late game winning goal, Benítez had set him up for a brilliant one on one.

Two matches in a row that Los Tuzos took their foot off the petal. Almost cost them. Don't think Pachuca can do the same vs. Cruz Azul.

Cruz Azul won't want to choke for the umpteenth time, should be a good one.

The second Concachampions leg (vuelta) is tonight at the Hidalgo stadium, televised on Fox Soccer Channel 5 PM Pacific. I didn't realize FSC televised the CCL too, I strongly recommend them over Telefutura's terrible coverage. [IMG]

I am just happy that the matches have been televised. I think you might have forgotten how it was 10 years ago. You could never get any footie on the TV in the US. Progress, it's a beautiful thing :D

A few quick points to recap, Cvitanich was hustling out there as usual but with little effectiveness. Manso is really great on the ball, reminds me of Deco with his excellent ball control and passing. Romita Rojas was good going forward but lacked precision on some crosses. Lastly, ¡¡¡Grande el Pájaro Benítez!!!

Overall I don't think Pachuca played a great game, it's not easy when Cruz Azul virtually parked the bus out there which was reminiscent of the Barça-Inter earlier but the win was definitely deserved IMO.
