A win is important and we can’t play sloppy like we did with careless turnovers and expect to win.

I am not following. Do you need Crew gear?

Seriously? I have it done that countless times. Some have laughed and reminded me that they are older than me (which was true).

    Not in southern Ohio.
And I could could say comeinpants and no one would care. It is all about legal briefs these days. It is like a special episode of Law and Order meets LA Law these days.

Merry Crewsmas everyone! Does it make me a poor father that I am planning to bring my 6 week old son out to the game in 40 degree weather? We've got a really warm outfit for him.

You're the best kind of dad. Just make sure the lad also gets some whiskey in his belly to help keep him warm.

Merry Crewsmas, Drew! I am so proud of you, my dear old friend. You may be out parenting me on Crewsmas (so well done)!

Merry Crewsmas, Crewville! Together we have survived the nuclear offseason (and the season opener) of ups-and-downs, 300+ pages of a Crew to Austin thread, shitty Texas articles, and one glorious complaint. We have arrived at our season home opener to the 2018 campaign. I know we have some negative Nancys out there in Crewville, yet I truly hope even you folks can have a most glorious day at Crew Stadium during the celebration of our most honored holidays.

Treasure your time today with your families, friends, or just maybe yourself (as I loner by nature, I pass no judgment). Today may be either the last Crewsmas at Crew Stadium (if Fratass is successful in his dastardly plan) or one of the last Crewsmases at Crew Stadium (if by some miracle we do indeed #SaveTheCrew).

Because that reality has sunk in as well for me. Since I am amongst friends, I can admit to the anxiousness and goosebumps I feel when I near the good, ol’ exit 111 on 71 south. The feeling of childhood joy that my husband thinks is utterly sweet (and annoying because I get so worked up). I am talking tears of joy. Let them flow. That stadium is our cathedral, and we will be moving away from it if we save the Crew.

Some of you have been watching Crew since the days before Crew Stadium. I am not in that group. My first, in-person game was in 1999. Crew Stadium was all the rage throughout our NE Ohio soccer association. Talk centered around the wonders of this first-ever, soccer specific stadium. My Crew home game experiences have always been from the beginning of my love affair at Crew Stadium. Let me rip the Band-Aid (adhesive bandage) off. That will end either sooner or later. I hope the latter, and I hope my experiences will be taking me and my loved ones to Crew Stadium 2.0 in downtown Columbus.

I will be at my first Crewsmas in years. My kids will be at their first Crewsmas ever (Drew, you really be may be the realest parent Crew fan). Brummie mentioned a hat, and stanger gave a description. So I will state my normal things: we stand at the top of Crew Union 101. Akron Zips hat. Average-looking female who has been blessed with an amazingly handsome husband and two absolutely beautiful children.

So, as I gear up to make my two-hour trek of love, I hope you have a wonderful Crewsmas morning. Last night instead of our normal routine, I sang Crew chants with my Markus and Carigan. They are ready. I hope you are as well.

May we be blessed with a golazo bonanza today.

All my love and Merry Crewsmas,

    Chelsey

Yeah I need to get my daughters a Crew hoodie I already tried Dicks sporting goods in Dublin and the soccer store in Dublin and Westerville.

    I need a girls size 14 and for the youngest a 3T

Any ideas ? I expect the stadium to sellout of these items.

I’d imagine this will be a pretty down year for Crew March - unless of course something wonderful happens.

There are quite a few online custom apparel sites that you can have something custom made that would be cheaper than anything in Anthony’s gift shop. You won’t be able to put a Crew logo on it, but get the right colors, soccer stuff, and COLUMBUS, and I bet you’ll be happy with the results.

Just a good quote for today:

"I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. .... I hope."

    and

"(H)ope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."

Not the version for my kids. But sure your version certainly works better for the vast majority of Crew supporters. This mama tries.

They were singing the good cheer version around the house.
