hoping for a magical season where a few LBs and keepers pop up and are ready out of nowhere for the WC :)

a younger, stronger and faster Abel Aguilar type player would be nice too

I am not going to say no shot but the writing is on the wall that it will be a long shot with a blindfold on.

He is playing on one of the most prestigious teams in Argentina and South America. And allegedly one of his reasons for doing so is to be noticed by Sampaoli and be given a chance to get on the Argentina roster. And even if it is not for 2018 he may sneak on the 2019 Copa America or the proposed 2020 Copa America in the USA.

So I think the chances are very low that he plays for us when his life long dream is to play for Argentina. Which I don't fault him for at all.

I think Bejarano from America is probably regretting his decision of playing for Guinea otherwise he would be someone I would look at

he isnt so good as colombia media try to make in the semis...actually in goals he had a lot of responsibility, very slow to attacj the ball

not better than cuadrado and castellanos without a doubt.

PD: the best way to be informed of colombian football is dont listen the reporters..............the same tha

Millonarios made Bejerano look like a super star. And not only on the penalty. He also came out and cut down the angles on a couple of break aways and forced the attackers to miss.

Is he that much worse than Fabra? I mean, Fabra has improved from a horrible defender to a not-so-bad-at-it defender... And as was just said, we could use crosses like that one from Mojica for Falcao and Duvan Zapata...

Well Cucho Hernandez is a potential top talent......withoud doubt.

Maybe wilmar arango and bolaños too.

I have faith roger martinez become the second top scorer in europe after falcao..surpassing bacca.

    Lerma is still very young...

James is still good and young for another cycle...

with the migration of competitive foreign coaches that we have in our teams......a lot of young players will be promoted with a lot of learnings.

Not as bad as you guys are making it out to be
7/11 starters will still be on the team after the WC and potentially starters in 2022... some are even young enough to go to 2026. Thats way less of a rebuild then many other teams will have to do. Other then Falcao and maybe Cuadrado we aren't losing that much quality. Sanchez/Abel is a coaching preference.

GK - WE FKd... tho Ospina has 4-7 more years.... many 38 year old keepers. He will have to return to South America but god I hope we get 2 better keepers soon

    DF - 4/4
starting line up has at least 4 more years..... CBs have 8-12 years left. Mina isn't super fast so maybe he can be around as long as Yepes if he stays healthy
    Mina -23
    Davison Sanchez -21
    Arias - 25
    Fabra - 26

MF (2/5) Starters will def be young enough for 1-2 more cycles
Jame - 26 - dont see us developing a better all around player has at least 1 more WC.... arguably 2 maybe not as much of a factor in his 4th
Cuadrado - 29 - last WC..... rely way too much on speed to still be a factor at 34
    Cardona -25
Sanchez - 31 ..... hope he doesnt even make this WC
Abel - 32 - shouldnt make it if never plays but Pekerman loves him so who knows might even make the next WC if Pekerman is around

All the up and coming CMs are under 25 Cuellar(25), Celis(24), Lerma (23), Barrios(24), Seb Perez (24)

    FW (0/1)
-Falcao - 31 but 32 at the WC..... 36 just seems to old and kind of sad if we don't have another top striker in that time but the pipeline looks super super thin. Other then Ibra what striker is that old? Tho he is a super healthy guy so who knows just dont see him being a starter in 2022
    - We dont really have a #2 and in my formation it was a 4-2-3-1 that Pekermans been using a lot. I hate it but thats what he been using.

So Pipeline.... not much we have some decent guys but Muriel and Duvan at 26 just don't score enough
younger we have Borre(22 has awful finishing), Borja(24 only good for Nacional), Preciado (23 went to FKING 2nd division CHINA !!!), Cordoba (24 been in europe for 5 years and barely has 20 goals)

Roger Martinez and Cucho Hernandez looks brighter than 4 goals you mentioned.....maybe Borja could be better but 2018 should be a good year for him...

yeah we actually have a ton of young players all over the place. Ok, so they aren't completely established yet but the potential is there. I also there will be even more younger guys popping up over time as well.

off the top of my head

    Yerry Mina
    Davinson Sanchez
    Santi Arias
    Frank Fabra
    Wilmar Barrios
    Edwin Cardona
    Sebastian Perez
    Rafael Borre
    Camilo Hernandez
    Roger Martinez
    Jose Izquierdo
    Jefferson Lerma
    Luis Orejuela
    Johan Mojica
    Marlos Moreno
