I think it's a good time to find out how good are backups are ...

Una lesión en la ingle impediría que Ospina pueda jugar con Colombia en los amistosos frente a Corea del Sur y seguramente China en el mes de noviembre.

    As.com Actualizado a las: 20 octubre 2017 10:05h COT

Dont want to open a whole new thread but can't avoid the Chicho Serna news.... :( So connected to our kids and such a link to the argie link but now sounds to be in a deep world of problems.... Hope it's all a big lie and he comes out clean. Not likely.

LOL... seriously, did folks just wake up today? When does Pekerman ever not wait until the last minute. I don't mind it as much can happen in a week (look at Izquierdo's performance today)

You must be new here :)

Pekerman is always last minute with call ups. I think he does it to spite the bigsoccer.com forum.

Any fresh faces you think we should see?

Who do you want to see in the next two games?

I heard barrios hurt his hand, don’t know how serious that is.

Otherwise I think it’s important for Duvan to see a lot of minutes.

How long before Mina is healthy??

Barrios is out for likely a couple weeks. Likely won't be ok in time. Mina is just getting back to rhythm but likely not for these friendlies. Personally, I think both have a place on the final roster.

I think Mina should be allowed to be recover from his injury. We don’t need him for China/Korea. Ospina also injured. Perfect time to find our #2. Pretty sure China will require we play Falcao and James. When we lost Falcao they canceled our last friendly.

    Hopefully we find our #2 GK, #2 a LB/RB, starting CM/DM.

Want to see Lerma, Chara, Izquerido get plenty of minutes.

And you really think that a HUGH games vs Korea and China will bench Sanchez and Abel who are our solid midfielders since Pekerman got the job in the WC?!

Well I hope that we gain something from these friendlies. This team needs improvement if we're to surpass our best finish.

I am hoping Izquierdo and Lerma can establish themselves in these friendlies as options. (I hope they both get called up!)

Other than that I am not expecting to take much from these type of games. I just hope we play well and stay healthy.

Izquierdo maybe should perform similar for the next two matches to deserve the called up again

I think Pekerman already has an idea of what his squad will look like. I am not sure if the next two matches will have any weight on his decision but it could.

Maybe. Would be easy for Roger to travel to the games already being in Asia.

    This. Thank you very much.

I think people are getting a little too excited about replacing someone who is not going to get replaced anytime soon

If barrios is out then I would like to see the GC brothers or Uribe or whomever get minutes. The only thing these two friendlies will accomplish for our backups is that they establish a rhythm and comfort playing for the NT
