The USA can choose were they play, they are in charge of all the changing rooms and are in their home country for preparation and lodging. It may not be as big an advantage as found in Latin American countries for qualifiers but its still an edge and they'll always have organized fan groups there to spur them on.

The CONCACAF decides where the games are played not the USA .
The way it usually goes down the Stadiums that are chosen favors Mexico and Central American teams not the USA.

There may be a little bit of an advantage when it comes to lodging and stuff like that I suppose, but as I said the other teams have the advantage of playing in the stadium more often and in many cases louder fans in the stadium.
There really is no competitive advantage at playing in the NFL stadiums.

Those type of things belong in the other thread.
Especially since it aligns with many of his other incoherent ideas.

While we’re at it, I suspect the USA might ban any kind of football that is not played with the hands, build walls around NFL Stadiums and make CONCACAF pay for it.

The only problem and flawed reasoning to that joke is that Trump was a major supporter of the World Cub 2026 bid and some argue one of the reasons why the USA/Mex/Can won.

    Or simply put "Winning "
    - as he would say.:p

    But back to Colombia....
I hope Colombia hosts a Copa soon.

Oh come on... He just was around in time to claim credit for it.... Like he always does... If the bid had failed he would have put the blame on someone else... Like he always does...

    Maybe.
But many within the Federation and close to the Federation give him some credit.

But only if we improve our facilities...

lets face it, our stadiums are shitholes for the most part. It is incredible how far behind we are in stadium ammenities and level of comfort.

So we went from “major factor” to “they give him some credit “?

I suspect that the most accurate thing to say is that the federation convinced him to stop tweeting about other shithole countries’ bids, so not to piss more FIFA members...

Making people who are born here not seem Americans make them not cheer for the team.

My kid is Colombian/korean American not a American becauae they will look at him and go o he looks different where are your parents from.

Ivan Mejia goes on about this everyday and how terrible stadiums are

I've only been to el Campin and that was back in like 2010 or something. Have to say I agree, ugly place. Looked like it hadn't been touched in 30 years

We hosted the sub20 WC in 2011.
What was the feedback for the stadiums then?

I’ve been to Atanasio girardot back in 2008 and it seemed fine to me except for the douche who threw a bottle at us bc we were wearing green ;)

No one is making people do anything.
I never go to a game and see people doing what you are depicting.
That is just you being very paranoid.

You are correct. during the Group stage recently there have been more and more games that are in smaller stadiums and in pro-USA type of atmospheres.
However there's still some games like Honduras in Texas or Panama in Florida that are not really advantages at all but it is becoming less common just as you depict. I will give you that.

Most importantly though we all know that the most important matches (Knockouts) are in big NFL stadiums that usually have Pro-Mexican and Central American crowds guaranteed.
