I don't give much credence to what he did at America or even the Sub 20. I just can see what he is doing at Huesca and say that his talent can be utilized at the senior level.

Whether he can flourish at the National team is another thing but I think it is worth giving a look sooner rather than later.

I want to see Benedetti, Cucho,Villa(Boca), Cuellar get minutes

Also really hope Mercado recovers and we have another option at Lb.

Also a 2nd RB pops up next year.

I think we should drop Abel, Bacca and Sanchez for the upcoming friendlies. We can still use Sanchez and Bacca if needed but we need to start planning for this cycle and start getting the young guys in the system.

Guys I'd like to see added in the friendlies and hopefully be in the mix for Copa America

Cantillo, Cuellar, Villa, Cucho, Roger Martinez, Jeison, Jorge Carrascal. I don't want Marlos called because he's already been given a chance and since then he's really not done anything at club level so lets give him the Quintero treatment and force him to get back on course before he gets to wear Yellow again. If we have to I'd drop Falcao as well, we know what he brings but need Roger, Borja and Duvan to start getting integrated ASAP. This round of friendlies is a good opportunity to be more experimental and looking forward, most of the key guys just got done a World Cup so not like we are in desperate need of game time together.

I really like Arroyo the LB who got signed by Liverpool but he's not playing at a high enough club level to get consideration but hopefully in the next few years he can progress and compete for the LB spot, ideally though Fabra recovers and owns the spot with Mojica as the backup. Carrascal is probably a stretch too, but I think he has a ton of ability and did light up the Ukranian league, dude has next level dribbling which is always useful even if he lacks in other areas.

I think first we need to see who our manager will be.

There are really strong rumors that Argentina really wants Pekerman for their manager role, apparently they want him to be both GM and mange the squad at least until the Copa America after they would like him to pick a new manager for the team and have Pekerman just be the GM.

recently though, Alejandro Sabella has been rumoured to be an option for GM. I am still hopeful that Pekerman will continue with us

Colombians need to get those Argie dicks out of their mouths!!!

Seriously other options to look at then Argie failures. They failed and played like shit with better rosters!!! And were even more annoying about player options then Pekerman was.

Sabella only made the final becauae he had the easiest route to a final of all time

hmmm, so your objection is the Argie nationality and not their resume, really smart. Ok, who do you suggest? And don't give me some "we need Pep Guardiola or Simeone" speech because we need to "think like we're champions". Consider for a moment that in order to coach a team outside of your country, that coach has to be interested in said position and in all likelihood have to be paid handsomely to come coach our NT.

Consider for example, Klopp who makes $9m/year. Pekerman was earning one of the highest salaries in south america at what 1.5 m/year?
So now that we're stacking fact form fiction, where do you see these candidates coming from? (and dont suggest Rueda because he's not a candidate).

No just such an objection to Osorio but then asking for Argie coaches who did worse with better players.

Then the most successful NT Argie coach is a fk no!! Don’t see why no to Sampoli but yes to Gareca or Sabella.

Still hoping Chile fire Rueda for Samp and we get Rueda :)

Did you even watch the World Cup and World Cup qualifying of Argentina and Peru? Watch the damn games then get back to us. Gareca's teams played really well, Sampaoli's team was a complete dumpster fire. I actually wouldn't completely condemn Sampaoli as a choice because his Chile teams were damn good and I think our roster would fit his style more then Argentina's, but its safe to say he did a terrible job at the World Cup and couldn't figure it out.
