Nobody seems to want to create a thread so I thought I 'd do it.

I just want to see this team play them with no fear and little respect. Go out there and find a way to win.
Hopefully James will help us get into a groove again.

Then we need to clone 10 more James. And get a coach who has the balls to want to win games

we usually play Brazil fairly well despite not getting the result. Marcelo on that wing is a problem but he's out for our match and with the 1st place locked up I don't see Tite sending 1st team to start in Barranquilla.

Formation should be aggressive. Zapata and Murillo looked nervous vs Vzla and were caught flat footed quite a few times. I would go with

    Chara -- Falcao

    Cardona--James--Cuadrado

    Cuellar/Barrios

    Arias--Zapata--D.Sanchez--Fabra

    Ospina

    Not winning isn't playing well.

Hope Teo pulls off one of his god mode Barranquilla performances. I don't see any way in hell he doesn't start Teo in quilla

Either Cardona or Chara will be a super sub. He needed to be more offensive V Venezuela and a double 5 in colombia but now we need to win and we will get rapped in our counter attack

I have a feeling Fabra is going to help us win this game. His cross to Falcao in the last match was one of the best crosses I have ever seen a Colombian do in qualifying.

And he seems to have improved a bit defensively. (Although Brasil is a more difficult task obviously.)

Haha Fabra will have a assist and 2 auto goals because his defending is utter shit.

We should be using 3 in the back if we don't have LBs and have 6-7 CBs.

Come WC Zapata(lovely play almost lead to a goal, doesn't play for Milan), Murillo(not good enough to start), Fabra(as a winger maybe as a defender fk no

Unless Mechado and the kid from Cali that went to Ajax have monster seasons we need to go to 3 in the back. I am ok with Arias not playing or being Cuadrados sub as RM.

I might sound mad Juniorista right now, but Chará did so good against Venezuela, that him and Teo (which Teo already have proven chemistry with Failcow in la sele).

    Cuadrado-----elTronco-----Chara
    ------------Failcow------Teo

Cuadrado and Chara are always fast to go back and defend so "pebbles" Sanchez should be fine

Is it possible for us to draw while winning one of our last 2 matches to qualify no matter what? Or would this depend on other results?

We are 5 points ahead of 5th so 4 points in next 3 games should be enough

Tho Peru and Paraguay are no joke right now

I see this lineup against Brazil, not many changes, but having James at 100 percent will be very important.

I would not have Barrios in this match because any foul near the area is a free kick goal for Neymar. Abel is the equilibrium that this team needs, plus he never has a bad match in yellow.

I would put Chara on the left side, as if he frustrates Alves enough it could lead to a potential red card for the veteran.

Hopefully Cuadrado can do more than draw fouls this match.

    ---------------Ospina---------------
    Arias---Zapata--Murillo---Fabra
    ----------Abel--Sanchez----------
    Cuadrado-----James-----Chara
    ---------------Falcao---------------

That's the way only way I see it. I wasn't as impressed by Chara as most were, apparently, but I think his speed and trickery is something we need against Brazil.

Ultimately i think Pekerman will decide between he and Cardona not so much by who should start but by who would have the bigger impact off the bench. It seems to me that anytime we play a difficult opponent or on the road, Perkerman's intention is to control the opponent for about 60-70 minutes before revealing his full hand. Not that I like it...

Chara played good against Venezuela? I obviously have to watch this game again cuz you guys keep repeating this. I do like the sentiment since we play in Barranquilla and the whole ChaTeo thing but to me le quedo grande a Chara, looked like a boy amongst men, y no me refiero a su estatura.

I'll go old school with this bitch...

Arias Zapata Davinson Fabra(God help us)

    Cardona Sanchez Abel James

    Falcao Teo/Muriel

I leave Cuadrado out the starting lineup simply because I don't like his recent performances and his value as a sub is well... Invaluable. James and Cardona coming together/ switching roles in the middle and add that to Teo's creativity could create a lot of options for Falcao. I stated "old school" because Cardona would be doing the function of Macnelly from years past, just a more dangerous player with a wider range of attacking arsenal.

I would also be tempted to put Cuadrado on the RB position and Arias on the left, but that might be too risky at this point. Those are moves you make in friendlies and such.

The crowd will really get into it if they see Teo and Falcao out there. (I know they will be rowdy anyway, but I think they would be even more enthusiastic to see Teo and Falcao back together again after so many months.)

I personally don't think Cardona will start over Cuadrado cause Pekerman does not seem to like him drifting towards the right. He keeps him more on the left and center.
I think Gio Moreno probably has better odds of taking the MacNelly role than Cardona.

Good I was worried they wouldn't show the game as it is the 2nd game of the night. Sucks with how the games are scheduled they will only be able to show 2 games tomorrow.

all i know is this: if Colombia starts with two defensive mids, witch sanchez acting as the lob-passing/distributor, were going to have a bad time.
