It is interesting that he keeps on calling up Quiñones but never plays him.
Cuéllar got some minutes against Ecuador last March and made a mistake that led to a FK goal.

I think every spot it basically set for the this match except for the two pivots. Sánchez and Aguilar are the only national team regulars getting consistent playing time. Maybe give Uribe a chance? I imagine he goes for Zapata over Murillo since he's being doing well for Milan recently.
    Falcao
    Muriel-James-Cuadrado
    Sanchez-Uribe/Aguilar
    Diaz-Mina-Zapata-Arias
    Ospina

I am not sure if Mina and Zapata can both start since they both like to drift towards the right.
Oscar Murillo drifts more towards the left so I can see him starting next to either Mina or Zapata.
But your lineup could work if they look good in practice.

I don't know about your line up. Sanchez is now a CB and can't pass for shit. The defense as well is a huge ???

Arias very good at PSV but not like he has ever been great in yellow.
Diaz kind of bad the last couple games in yellow and Fabras been laughable when he played

Wonder if with Sanchez as a CB and all his CB options if he will go with 3 in the back.

Think only thing that is certain is Falcao,James,Ospina and Cuadrado are going to start. Not sure about anyone else. But if he does Start Oscar Murillo then he really believes in the guy. To bench a starter of Inter Milan and of the best team in Brazil for a Mexican league player.

If I remember correctly the three man CB formation was used against Ecuador last cycle in Quito.
I can see that being an option again there later this month too.

At home against Bolivia? I don't think so.

Playing in Mexico should not disqualify someone if they are the best option.

Not saying it does but he is by far in the weakest league out of the 5 CB options we have currently. I think he is def the starter but next to who is the question. I know most of you are giving Zapata the nod but Mina is just amazing. It's a real hard choice. As for Davidson Sanchez think he is too green maybe our starter in Russia but till then I don't see him getting minutes.

Like I said only 4 clear starters for me. The CB Issue is a good one to have. Every few months it looks like we are missing players in a certain spot the have a ton of options a couple games later. Hope that happens with our LB, RB and GK spots

Mina is more of a weapon on offense which can come in handy against the little Bolivians but Zapata has the experience and is "playing in a better league".
I think it is a tossup and would not mind if either started.
And Both may even start. Who knows what is in the mind of Pekerman?

Jeison-Mina all day for me. Zapata tiene experiencia y liderazgo, pero creo que a perdido el pulso a Davinson y Oscar. Igualmente los centrales son de poca preocupación son los hp laterales quien nos tienen jodidos.

Jeison is in the Mix as well. Just don't know if Pekerman prefers him over a healthy Oscar.

played very poorly vs Arg as well. Always wants to do more with the ball than the play warrants. Diaz play in the back has also gotten progressively worse.

yea Murillo... isn't in great form and Davidson isn't ready. I think they will be our WC CBs just not yet.

    Mina/Zapata-O.Murillo are Pekermans CBs

Still smiling with Minas NT goal :) world class shit

I was listening to Antena 2 this morning and apparently we have 11 players who can miss the game against Ecuador if they get yellow carded against Bolivia.

    http://www.antena2.com.co/seleccion-colombia/audios/james-rodríguez-entre-los-jugadores-que-tien
James, Arias, Cuadrado, Sanchez, Aguilar, Balanta, Farid Diaz, Teo , J. Murillo, Teo, Muriel .

We can also get suspended from playing in Barranquilla for one game if we keep on doing the stupid chant when the opposing goalie has a goal kick.

    Interesting news on the cards.

As for the stadium issue I would not mind seeing some matches in Bogota. Matches like Brazil and Paraguay who seem to struggle in Altitude.

Cali has such a great fan base, a few games there would be interesting too.

Speaking of Teo Argentine media is reporting that he will be called up by Pekerman. Also the trio at Boca will all be called up.

Nothing against El Campin but I don't recall Colombia ever having great games in Bogota. Our players would also struggle.

Thought Comebol said the climate has to be similar like we can chose where we play based on opponents like the US does haha.

Cool if we qualified early to play a game in Cali then one in Medillen or Bogota. Isn't a issue with bogota the fans aren't as rody

None of our international strikers are tearing it up, so I was really looking forward to seeing Falcao be the gel of confidence this team needs.

In the meantime Vs Bolivia @ Home --Go with a 3 in the backline. If there's a game that we should take some risk offensively and try a different formation....this would be it!

    -------BORJA

    MURIEL--JAMES --CUADRADO

    ------CARDONA

    --------M.URIBE--ABEL ------

    ---ZAPATA----MINA --O.MURILLO--

I would expect the likes of ALL our MFs to come back and support when we don't have the ball, namely Cuadrado, Muriel and Cardona. I would like to see the line play high up/pressure on top as opposed to waiting in our own half.

That's a very fast line up with Borja/Muriel and C4. NO reason why we shouldn't be able to exploit space and push the ball high up. Cardona and James don't need to be inside the 16 to look dangerous as they both have long powerful shots and can also place perfect passes to the running forwards.

While on paper that looks like a very good team, I don't feel as confident of a win as I should.

I am hoping we can get falcao healthy for Bolivia. I want to see his confidence sky high on NT because it's contagious.
