Otros jugadores que he podido observar: Jhon Arias (Patriotas - volante ofensivo -1997): lo he visto en 2 o 3 partidos y poco a poco le he cogido el gusto. Es un volante ofensivo algo irregular, tiende a perderse ratos del partido sobre todo si es un equipo muy superior físicamente, pero es muy creativo e inteligente, tiene la capacidad para crear oportunidades de gol sus compañeros y sacar buenos remates desde fuera del área. Maicol Medina (Patriotas - regista -1997): debutó muy joven con Patriotas y ha ido avanzando lento pero seguro, con una cesión a Llaneros que lo ayudó a consolidarse. El estilo de juego es similar a Atuesta, es un mediocampista zurdo con buena salida del balón, aceptable capacidad atlética pero con una gran disparo de media distancia. Necesita jugar más minutos con Patriotas pero tiene un carácter muy volátil, se le va la pinza y hace faltas innecesarias, en cuanto controle eso el técnico le va a dar más cabida en la titular. Alexis Serna (Alianza Petrolera - mediocampista - 1997):es un centrocampista con excelente capacidad atlética y técnicamente muy bueno. Esta es su primera temporada jugando en la Liga Águila. De momento ha anotado 1 gol y ha asistido en varias ocasiones a sus compañeros. Es un jugador que cubre mucho terreno y trabaja para el equipo en ambas áreas. Necesita tomar mejores decisiones cuando ataca pero yo creo que mientras siga jugando eso va a mejorar.
Jóvenes sub 23 de Once Caldas: Sebastián Guzmán (mediocampista mixto - 21 años): formado en Brasil y surgido de Academia Tolimense, el club que le dio sus primeros fundamentos a James, se desempeña como volante mixto aunque últimamente está mostrando muchas mejoras en su faceta defensiva. Tras un comienzo algo difícil para Once Caldas ahora se encuentra entre los 8 y todo esto tiene como principal protagonista la confianza puesta en Guzmán. Es un volante de excelente estatura, capacidad física y para complementar esto posee grandes fundamentos tácticos y capacidad de distribución. En estos momentos está desempeñándose como regista, haciendo uso de todas sus virtudes para ser el primer pase y anticipar en defensa. Para que se hagan una idea es similar a Abel Aguilar, un jugador que no es excesivamente rápido, pero que tiene capacidades de liderazgo e inteligencia para moverse en la cancha. Ménder García (delantero - 20 años): goleador en múltiples torneos regionales, últimamente está recibiendo la confianza de Bodhert y el muchacho está respondiendo con actuaciones muy importantes para alguien con poca experiencia profesional. Lo que más destaca en Ménder, aparte de su gran capacidad atlética, es su olfato y posicionamiento en el área, puede fallar oportunidades pero siempre está ahí donde va a llegar el balón, además sabe desmarcarse muy bien y gracias a su fortaleza y velocidad es muy problemático lidiar con el. A mí me recuerda a Jackson cuando recién empezaba, con problemas en definición que se pueden corregir pero con virtudes técnicas y físicas innatas que lo hacen muy interesante. De momento ha anotado 3 goles en el equipo profesional.

The top team from both groups of 5 advance to the next round. The 2nd and 3rd placed teams play a one-game play off. The final 4 teams play a todos contra todos. Every team plays every other day, with an extra few days rest between rounds if you come in first.

After some research, about half of these guys don't have more than 10 starts in FPC. I'm not sure if that's more of a testament to how little kids are getting opportunities or how early on foreign clubs are raiding our leagues... I like Mender Garcia a lot. Marimon hasn't done a damn thing since he got injured a couple years back.
Miranda, Rojas, Barona, Guzman, Hernandez, Angulo, Fuentes, and Diaz have all played plenty. I meant to write 10 starts in a season, but even still I think the numbers are on the lighter side: E Ruiz - has 16 starts Y Diaz - 5 starts J Mesa - 4 starts (liked what I saw from him) Paz - 6 starts Salazar - 13 starts M Gardani - 13 starts, but all in Primera B Herrera - 17 starts Romana- has played plenty in Primera B but obviously never been to first division Medina - 18 starts, but did play a lot more when he was loaned to primera B Then you got guys like Ramirez who've amassed several starts (near 30), but he's never been a legit starter at any team he's been at. Puerta and Marimon were super bright as under 20s, but then faded..
El indio shouldn't be here. He didn't do a god damn thing to justify his call-up. Also, I think we may find other options regarding this team. I don't know, I intend to agree with @Azucarero , don't find to many optimistic reasons regarding this team. I believe that will see other names also, maybe for the recent U-20 team.
I am sure he will call up other players in future training camps. Guys from the Sub 20 and the Caribbean/Central American Championship will probably get called up closer to the competition since he is already familiar with them.

Reyes is a key link for us though. He is on Queiroz's staff and he is in charge of making the Sub 20 and Sub 23 play the same style. I wish nothing but the best for him.
Queiroz was never forced into anything. That is your crzd opinion. Face the facts. Reyes in on his staff and is learning from him how to set things up.
