The Tigers cruised for their 6th straight in this once again lopsided rivalry.

Kinda amazed Mark Berson still has a job.

It's been almost 30 years since South Cack was a national power and the days of Mathis, Wolff, Guzan etc.. are lone ago and he isn't getting anything close to that level of talent anymore. He's missed the NCAA Tournament 10 of the last 14 years and hasn't been past the second round of the NCAA Tournament since the run to the finals... 26 years ago!

Berson is a high quality person, leader and individual but he is not a good recruiter, tactician or motivator. I fear he peaked back in 1997 when the Tigers ended the careers of Mathis and Wolff at the Graveyard in the Round of 16. The state is orange and purple will remain so for the foreseeable future.

And that purple comes from SIMA...

They advanced to the Sweet Sixteen (losing to Michigan) in '10

Also, three key players on the SC roster didn't play Friday including preseason CUSA First team Luca Mayr and Syracuse transfer / national pool player Kyle Guerrieri.

Clemson has dominated the series recently, but the the gamecocks had a 4-0 run against the tigers before hand

    Simple question:

Would you, or would you not, consider South Carolina an elite men's soccer program this decade?
