What a cluster f*%k the first round has been, the more I watch Primera Division in El Salvador, the more I believe a massive revamp needs to be done and the league needs to be changed to MLS Franchise based system until all 3 divisions are fixed up.
Alright here are the embarrassing Moments of the first round:

    1) Firstly, the game between Audaz and Metapan was cancelled due to Audaz new uniform not being satisfactory to the referee liking. For those who don't know, Roberto Campos bought Audaz from Juan Pablo Herrera and stated he would change the name and colours to Independiente FC, Although due to the Apertura already being played they would be playing as Audaz in name only.
Roberto Campos stated he had presented FESFUT the uniform being used for the tournament and they had approved it
    [IMG]

    2) Criticism has come about the field condition of Estadio Juan Francisco Barraza this is supposedly the stadium that has received an upgrade. Here is a comparison Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in Costa Rica to Estadio Juan Francisco Barraza.

    3) FAS presented a new jersey one day before the game, however they were forced to play in their old uniform

    4) Here is a copy of Luis Angel Firpo team sheet, how unprofessional has Firpo become under Modesto Torres. They coulnd't speel Professional, Achuapan and Simeon.

I know it’s messed up but this gave me a chuckle. Looks like you got hit by the Firpo virus.

In all seriousness FESFUT was full of it saying that teams would have been punished severely for continuous lack of payment to players and the such yet Firpo continued to do so all season. Guess they voted for the current administration which is why the received slaps on the wrist.

Hahaha the downside of writing on phones, FESFUT are a bunch of hypocrites, the management manage to find the funds to pay the players to register in time.
Well the fact that Juan Pablo Herrera is being accused by former players Milton Palacios and Cristian Prette of having forged their signage to cancel their contracts and stop Audaz from paying the rest of the 10,000 dollars owed

    Note from the author
Biggest apologies for the lack of news and updates, as life gets busier it gets harder to post as frequently as I used too.

Updates and Summaries of the season so far (Part 1)

    1) Lack and late payments continue to be an issue, highlights include players and coaching refusing to train until getting their payment from the previous months, Legal actions taken against clubs for no payment, and coaches and players resigning due to payment. The league is helpless to do anything as the clubs are independently owned as opposed to being owned by league like the MLS. Also the players don't have Players Association .

    Here are the main offenders
Pasaquina: The club owes players and coaching staff 2 months worth of pay, the club is running on a shoestring budget, they have had to leave their home stadium to play in Atletico Balboa old stadium, They have had to sell and not purchase any new equipment and lost coach Eraldo Correira due to lack of payment. Honestly at this rate they will sell their spot in the primera division.

Sonsonate: Sonsonate have started having problem having back payments owing , matters weren't helped when the president Pedro Contreras don't deserve to be paid because they are on the verge of being relegated. No matter how you feel, the players have shown up and completed their duties, you guys signed a contract and you need to pay.
    External Links: https://www.elsalvador.com/deportes...s-desafortunadas-palabras-de-pedro-contreras/

Firpo: Ever since Modesto Torres took over the club financial situation has been dire, until recently the club had owed its players and staff three months pay. However due to interest from a mexican lawyer to purchase the club he has tried to fix the situation to make it more attractive for someone to purchase the club, however I feel like the sale will depend on whether they can survive the drop.

Jocoro: Jocoro players have refused to train as they are owed six week worth of payment

    2) Instability with low crowds, stadium being upgraded and ways to cash more money. Clubs have been playing away from their home.
    Examples
FAS - playing at Estadio Simeon Magana, Achuapan (reason Estadio Quiteno being upgraded)
Santa Tecla - playing at Estadio UES and Estadio Cuscatlan (reason Estadio las delicas removing its artifical turf)
Pasaquina - Playing Estadio Ciclon (reason Pasaquina old stadium not big enough to make any money)
Aguila - Playing Estadio Cuscatlan (reason to make more money in big games)
Audaz-Independiente - Playing Audaz old stadium (because Estadio San Vicente being renovated)

    3) Several Moments of Unprofessionalism at the league
Jose Manuel Pinero was injured in a game against Alianza, due to Pasaquina removing the medical staff

Its Embarrassing, I used to love promotion and relegation but El Salvador needs to change to MLS Franchise. its the only way we can get some stability and be able to create a players associations and remove bad club owners.

The regular season is almost over
7 teams have confirmed qualification to the finals: Alianza, Aguila, Isidro Metapan, Chalatenango, Santa Tecla, Limeno, FAS
One spot left: Audaz are in the box seat with 19 Points
Although Firpo are on 19 points as well, they cannot participate in the finals due to being relegated
Sonsonate and Pasaquina are on 17 points each so a win for either side and Audaz losing will help their cause.

Relegated: Firpo have become the first team to be relegated six time from the primera division, no suprise here as most blame has to go the owners, when you don't pay players 3 months worth of salary and try to take short cuts with coaches it was bound to happe.

Santa Tecla will confirm that next season Sebastian Abreu will become player and coach of the side

Last game of the Regular Season
    Alianza vs Chalatenango
    Limeno vs Firpo
    FAS vs Jocoro
    Aguila vs Isidro Metapan
Audaz vs Pasaquina (winner takes all)
Sonsonate vs Santa Tecla (sonsonate wins will put them on the pole position)

Part 2 of Embarassing First division moments"

Firpo owner Modesto Torres has refused to accept Firpo have been relegated and has appealed to the federation stating that Sonsonate should be deducted points for using a coach that wanst regustered. Karma is funny as know its been shown that Assistant coach Gabriel Alvarez might have been coaching without being confirmed as being allowed.

So the final of Copa El Salvador was played on tuesday, it was a shit show, first of it was played Estadio Jorge Magico Gonzales which was in a shambolic state. Secondly the game was played in torrential rain and was finished six minutes before full time.
    Santa Tecla won 1-0

Sorry I havent posted i will start a new thread but should conclude this thread

Alianza won their 15th title defeating Aguila 3-0
Goalscorers: Johnathon Jimenez, RodolfoZelaya and own goal by Dixon Rivas

This final wasn't even close with Alianza dominating for the entire game, critcism went on Aguila coach for taking brasilian off after going ddon 1-0, despite him being their most dangerous threat.
Credit goes to Milton Melenedez who took over the team 3/4 of the way of the season and got them to dominate the rest of the season, he has been underrated coach and sporting director, since he took over the sporting director role alianza have been quite dominate and I see him having similar impact to Jupp Heynckes.

Alianza won all three titles up for grabs, Alianza reserves defeating Municipal Limeno 1-0, Alianza women defeated FAS 3-1
