Grant WahlVerified account @GrantWahl SI: Bruce Arena says Christian Pulisic unlikely to be called in to USA squad for any of Gold Cup
It seemed to me, while watching the game, that he was surprised when he had the ball stolen a few times. I wondered if there was a different style of defense that Mexico played that he hasn't seen much in the Bundesliga?
He was given extra attention by the Mexican defense, the kind of attention that had been given to Aubameyeng and other teammates in the B1.
Mexico didn't have to worry about anyone else given our bunker, unlike BVB where there's always 3-4 options going forward. Speaking of options, that's another issue Puli likely isn't used to, getting the ball surrounded by 2-3 defenders and having no options/outlets in sight.
Christian Pulisic returns to his hometown as a star and comments on a potential Bayern Munich http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/sto...ier-league-transfer-usmnt-061817?sf89721970=1 Still, Dortmund youth product Mario Gotze, then 21, left Dortmund for Munich in a $48 million-plus transfer in 2013 before getting signed back last year. Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, who had played for Dortmund since he was 22, went to Bayern on a free transfer in 2014. Mats Hummels, originally a Bayern academy player, was bought out of the last year of his Dortmund contract by Bayern for $38,475,500 in 2016. "No, that I could not do," Pulisic said of going to Bayern Munich. "I can't say that, but nah." In January, Pulisic signed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund that would keep him at the club through the end of the 2019-20 season. He finished the campaign with 43 appearances across all competitions having made critical plays in the Champions League Round of 16, keeping Dortmund in Champions League and drawing the German Cup-winning penalty.
So Caitlin Murray is another "writer" I can add to my "you're a joke list" as she can't even use google and figure out how many appearances Pulisic had. Pulisic has broken through for BVB in a big way, making 29 appearances across all competitions last season No, it was 43. Not even close. This isn't that complicated.

Why do you keep saying he played centrally??? Did you watch the match? He even takes a throw in in the highlights you linked.
What does taking a throw in have to do with it? Anybody can take a throw in. I think I said "played in a more central role". He has often played in the widest role. I have no interest in a formation debate, so I will put as he was in a "position" in which a player was wider than him.
He played as LW in a front three, wider than LCAM in a 3-4-2-1 but narrower than RWB in that same system.
The front two in that system don't play as wingers, and it it more of a 3241. The closest thing to an attacking mid are the two behind the striker. Even if I'm completely wrong, what you described is more central than what has been his typical role. So no idea what you have been going on about in these previous posts.
so what wages is Christian on now? he represents pretty much a big cash cow if marketed properly in America.
Clip of the goal. Cool as you like! Pulisic steals the ball from Javi Martinez and puts Dortmund in the lead. #Supercup @cpulisic_10 https://t.co/L7YCxf1qS8— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) August 5, 2017 Subbed off before going to penalties now at 2-2. Thought Bayern's first goal was clearly offside though.
