Toljan is pretty terrible. CP doesn't have the energy, explosion or confidence of 2-3 months ago. It's certainly possible he's nursing a minor injury. I just hope all the off-field distractions / obligations aren't draining him and potentially stunting his development.
Still, our best Yank Abroad. Atalanta is starting to play the Copa Libertadores style. Wow Reus was still around.
not sure if you're being sarcastic or else, but you are right about Serie A not being fun to watch. As someone who's been a raging Serie A fan in AC Milan's years of glory (1990-2007) I have a hard time watching Serie A anymore. Actually, I haven't watched a game in the last 6-7 years, maybe more than that. It's not their defensive style of play that bores me to death, it's the lack of symbols like Maldini, Pirlo, Shevchenko, Kaka, Seedorf, Del Piero, Rui Costa, Cafu, Totti, Nedved, Zambrotta, and many others. While a keen Milan fan back in those days, I would always watch Juve or AS Roma (and not only these teams, but others, too like Chievo for example who were having Bierhoff back then)... anyway, as I was saying, I would watch Serie A day and night back then because the league with jam-packed (is that the word??) with talent, but with great men, too, not just players. Back then the players would mind their god damn game, they wouldn't flex their muscles at other players or the referees like Balotteli did when team was in trouble, or start fights like Muntari, etc. Back then, when teams were in trouble these great players would lower their heads down in shame and start playing even better, instead of arguing with referees or spectators, or trying to fool the referees, and other crap like that. That's what I liked about Serie A, and sadly, with the downfall of Milan Serie A has ceased to exist for me. I honestly fall asleep at Serie A games, especially after I have made the switch to Bundesliga / Premier League where football is so free-flowing and straight on goal. It's a delight watching even mid, to low-table teams play in these 2 leagues nowadays, that I don't feel the need for Serie A anymore. Sure, if AC Milan will get back on track with their history of ass-whopping of everyone in Europe (for that, they will have to bring some 3-4 real stars in, though) I will change my views on that league. But until then... even if you were being sarcastic or not I will say that Serie A is not fun to watch. Not for me, not anymore...
Lovely goal... best attacker for BVB these days, 4 in 3 matches. Pretty good. They probably wish this was a permanent deal. Shrewd Chelsea, killing the transfer market yet again.
Fantastic goal by Batshuayi! Great combination between CP and Bats on the right side in the next minute too
When in space with the ball at his feet he's very good, but for CP the final ball continues to not be good enough.
Probably from a tactical standpoint, yeah, that's "fun" to watch. Otherwise I don't see what you could possibly find enjoyable in Serie A, but that's none of my business Also, sorry, not following chess, so I don't know who Petrosian is, or what chess has to do with football.
