So, we have a thread for Boca vs Inter but not for River vs Chivas. In the interest of fair and balance covarage, here it is. Come on Cabras, put the final nail in the coffin, and put the gayinas and Simeone out of their misery!
News: Tiempo final El golpeado River recibirá hoy a Chivas, en el partido de ida. Una derrota del Millonario puede precipitar la renuncia de Simeone. Seguilo Minuto a Minuto. More...
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas I actually prefer to see River move forward. If we beat Boca I would like for my team to play another Argentino team. This is a new tournament and is on the process of getting a little more prestige. We don't need those second class mexican, third tier futebol to make it a low level cup. I want to see a Brasil X Argentina semifinal, final etc. Two nations that have the best futebol in these side of of the ocean and perhaps some of the best in the world.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas I thought River would find a way to choke, but I didn't think they would lose at home. I thought they would lose it on the road. Sad.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas WOW, thats pretty funny. Let me guess, you think your first class. What makes us second class?
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas Good game Chivas wins 2-1. All River does is just try and center the ball to Abreu..they need have more scoring options. The game in Guadalajara is going to be bad ass.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas I agree brother weo riped river a new one nothing they can do about it i hope Boca hammers inter for many reasons
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas Your in the wrong forum Colorado_GAUCHO, scroll a bit down and you will find the WR Forum on your left hand side.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas I was merely stating a true fact, not creating rivalry with anybody. If that was the case I would look into a more worthy adversary in futebol for rivarly other than mexicans. They are a bunch of sorry people and I even feel sorry for them at times with their "we played like never and lost like always bs". River can turn this thing around.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas Lol, so i guess that third rate chives is going to kick the Gallinas out of the cup. That just make this whole thing a lot funnier.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas Leave them. You know a Brazilian is butthurt when they start cheering for River Plate.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas I'm just sharing my opinion based on how things are seen around here. This Cup is already considered a bit of a mickey mouse cup, most teams won't even use their starters. If we do get to the final beating two argentino teams we at least would have that to brag about. If we eliminate boca, my rival friends from Gremio will say "it was their youth them, big deal". And if we eliminate some mexican team people will say "well it was a mexican team so don't feel so happy". Beating Boca and River and perhaps Estudiants in the finals would validate our cup. Beating some mexican team would only reinforce the mickey mouse status of the cup. The Brasilian press and other fans would say that was nothing and it will be all for nothing.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas dude u guys have been "coming up" for 20 years now. mexico futebol wil never be on our level.
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas of course mexico is not in brasil or argentinas level as far as NT go but as far as club competion's go were getting there. i understand that as a inter fan you want to beat the traditional powers like boca or river but variety is also good no?
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas In order for that to be true, mexican teams will have to win a couple of libertadores first. More than one team, and also they should then beat the European powerhouses and win World title. That my friend. Is a far cry from what mexican teams are capable today. They go to the clubs world cup by taking concacaf (a joke of a confederation) and once they play european teams they got completely trashed. Talk to me when 3 different mexican teams win libertadores and win a Club world Cup. Then I can say you guys have got to our team level. But you know when mexican teams will take libertadores in subsequent years? never
Re: Chivas vs Gayinas You're getting there? Argentina: 21 Libertadores 4 Sudamericanas Brazil: 13 Libertadores Mexico: 0 Libertadores 1 Sudamericana. I know you're happy that Chivas beat a River that's last place in the Argentine league but don't push it.
