Guangzhou Evergrande has signed attacking midfielder Ricardo Goulart from Brazilian champions Cruzeiro. He's one of the best players in the Brazilian league (20 goals in 50 games in all competitions). It was rumored that Shandong Luneng tried to sign him, but Evergrande reportedly offered to pay a higher transfer fee.

Guangzhou Evergrande has signed yet another Brazillian forward in the name of Alan Carvalho from Red Bull Salzburg. This guy is a goalscoring machine in the Austrian league and he's currently the top scorer in this season's Europa League with 8 goals in 5 matches. Gilardino will probably be sold in the coming weeks and Alan is definitely replacing him in the team.
That's about €26.1 million that Evergrande has paid for both Goulart and Alan (€15 million and €11.1 million). Looks like Evergrande seriously wants to win the league for the fifth straight time and win the AFC Champions League again!

Watching Guangzhou vs Atletico Paranaense. Guangzhou up 2-0 at HT with an early goal from Dong Xuesheng and Elkeson scored the second on a nice set-piece variant. Guangzhou are looking comfortable despite this being a very much reserve side, I can just imagine how the full side would look like. Zou Zheng looks like a very good purchase so far, technically good and fearless going forward, he seems like an upgrade from Sun Xiang at LB.
