Hannover tries to get its first point on the road against Bayer? Wouldn't bet the house on it.

Just showed the highlights on FSW at halftime. Great volley by Basturk; the Hannover goal was off a free kick, Bobic just beat Butt to the ball in the air.

Perhaps people should have bet the house on it.

    1-2, Hannover. Bobic, from Stendel.

Wow. So early in the season and the wheels are already coming off for Leverkusen.

Frankie leaves and everything falls apart. ;)

Ok, i was at the game, and wanted to give some comments on Stevie.

-He played solidly on defense most of the time, but did get left standing once when Bierhofka (i think) burned him on a dribble

    - When he went forward he was effective, before Hannover got the 2nd goal he had a couple crosses that the strikers should have put away

-Talked to a couple Hannover fans and they really like Stevie but they don't really have strong feelings one way or another for Conor, which is understandable considering he isn't a starting regular

-Steve and Bierhofka got into a bit of a shoving match and the Hannover fans (who even though being only probably 1/20th of the fans in the stadium were louder than everyone else combined) started chanting USA! USA! USA!

-On the first hannover goal steve had the "2nd assist" as there was a broken free kick that came back out and he headed it back to the free kicker taker who crossed it to Bobic for the goal

-Steve had a good chance from about the 18 on a volley with the score still level, but put it slightly over

-Butt was atrocious, that's not Cherundolo related but just thought i'd throw it in

Well i think he had a pretty solid but not spectacular match, I'd give him a 2.5 on the kicker scale, and am interested in what kicker will give him.

The Sat 1 highlight show showed him take a ball of Simak late in the game. Tasty move.

Yes, that was quite a move, sorry that i forgot about it last night, was a bit late, i think that overall he got the better of the matchup with Bierhofka.
