Meh so far, most threatening chance came from a Kante pass to Higuain that led to a corner.

Same thing, loads of dominance, no threat.

For the love of all that is holy get RLC in. We need someone to run at the opposition and we need it now.

Dominance of what exactly? Sideways passing and really sad attempts at getting it into the box? What an awful thing to watch.. yikes man.

This lineup has no creativity. None.

We need champions league officials here, would have had at least two penalties by now.

Bringing Rubes on now is too late. They're going to get ample chances to counter us. Tactically it's naive.

Time for the two young English players to show their mettle.

Think Rubes is made for this type of match. Getting into those free spaces in and around the box.

And just like that. Rubes dribbles, takes on a defender and they're showing some hesitancy.

Beggars belief that someone who can play with the ball at their feet in tight situations wasn't starting against a side who we knew was going to stack the back line and restrict space. I mean, 100% obvious approach from them and we seem flummoxed by it.

Absolutely KBD. Ironically the formation switch took all our bite away.... Moving RLC back is the wrong thing to do.

We are going to have to wait until we win a summer stay from the ban to appeal from the CAS before we can realistically hire a top new gaffer, but lets get straight to the interim and try and save a CL spot

Feels like a loss....pathetic side to side football. We got absolute 0...zero, ZILCH of creativity in the midfield.

For 58 minutes we didn't. Rubes is so drastically better than any of our midfielders and players, bar Hazard, with the ball at his feet. He changes the side for the better. Bringing him on obviously hurts us defensively but I don't really care. Starting him is the ideal scenario because teams generally play much tighter against us early in matches and with his movement off the ball and close control he would really help break teams down.

    This isn't rocket science.

I think it's also important to note the quality of the opposition. Wolves are no pushover this season. They're just behind us and seem better coached. Their manager has them extremely well-drilled and puts them in positions best suited to their talents. Top 6 sides have very little success against them home or away.

    v. City 1-1 draw (August)
    v. United 1-1 draw (Sept)
    v. Spurs 3-2 loss (Nov)
    v. Arsenal 1-1 draw (Nov)
    v. Chelsea 2-1 win (Dec)
    v. Liverpool 2-0 loss (Dec)
    v. Spurs 3-1 win (Dec)
    v. Liverpool 2-1 win (Jan)
    v. City 3-0 loss (Jan)
    v. Chelsea 1-1 draw (Mar)

    3W-4D-2L

That's a good record against top 6 teams. They tend to struggle against the other clubs because I think they try to open up more.

That said, we were dire in the first half. It got a little better once we made some subs and changes. It's hard to break a team down who have 11 behind the ball - we were that team for many years an know how successful that can be.

We just lack the personnel to unlock the door at the moment. In the past, we've won games like this with a single stroke or two of brilliance and moved on. That's not really happening now.
