The Europa League needs to get better...fast. The knockout rounds are fine, but there are too many teams in the competition and too many teams qualifying for the group stage. What I would do:
    A) Get rid of 3rd place group stage dropdowns from the Champions League as well as the loser of the 3rd qualifying round dropping in (only CL playoff round losers play in EL; others done in Europe).
    B) Only 2 teams per country (instead of 3); it's too bloated.
    C) 32-team group stage (exact same format as Champions League); only cup winners of top 4 nations and ten
CL dropouts qualify for group stage automatically (14 in total). The other 18 spots are determined over four qualifying rounds as of now.

Quality-wise the tournament is likely to get better with less clubs in the group stage. What do you think?
