This will be a great match, looking forward to it. Normally I would say good luck, but not so good luck because you are playing against us. It will be a huge tactical battle, and I think a lot of this will be Allegri vs Enrique. I think the teams are pretty even on paper, with you edging the attack with the MSN, and us edging the defense with the BBC, and the midfield is quite comparable. How key is Busquets? He is suspended, but how big of a blow is it? Who will replace him?

Its really exciting to see MSN vs BBC actually. Although I suppose we will start with a back 4, and we will bring on Barzagli later to make the BBC. Not sure but thats what we have been doing lately. I'll say that whoever has the better midfield on the day will probably win the game. I see this coming down to a huge battle in the midfield and who is able to find the attack better. Iniesta-Rakitic vs Pjanic-Khedira.

I read in another thread on this Barca forum that Andre Gomes will be playing as the defensive midfielder.
I guess the thinking is that he is very good at destroying promising attacks.

Is he really though? I have heard many Barca fans complaining about him. What do you think?

    Consider yourself lucky.

No Busquests is a blow, Gomes in his place is a double blow.

Oh, he definitely kills a lot of attacks nowadays. He wasn't like this at Valencia.

If Barca do end up getting knocked out I'd like to see Juve go on to win it all for Buffon.

Gomes isn't that bad as a DM but as CM or AM (going forward) he is awful.

any coach with half a brain would play the following :

    ------------------------MATS------------------------------
    Roberto--------Pique------Umtiti-----------Alba----------
    ---------------------Mascherano------------------------
    -------Denis-----------------------------Iniesta-------------
    Messi---------------Suarez-------------------Neymar

now since our coach is obsessed with Gomes and plays him regardless of being completely useless in every single position so far ( either he is in a "personal" relationship with him or he wants to justify the 50M euros he forced the club to pay to get him here and wants to play him over and over destroying the team in the process in hope that he gets better ) we don't have any hope of winning this but actually we might end up losing horribly just like we did against PSG in paris.

That's a nice lineup, like to see it BUT with one exception, Rakitic over Denis! Now both are preferable to Gomes, but Rakitic is a solid and experienced guy, has he played as well this year as in the past 2, no, but he's still better than Denis (whom I do like).

Sport agrees with me/us, your lineup but with Raki instead of Denis:
Considering this, the most likely Barcelona line up at Juventus will be the following:

FC BARCELONA: Ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Piqué, Umtiti, Jordi Alba; Mascherano, Rakitic, Iniesta; Messi, Luis Suárez, Neymar.

    Sport is suggesting;

    MATS
    S. Roberto - Pique - Umtiti - Jordi Alba
    Mascherano
    Rakitic - Iniesta
    MSN
I must admit, I don't feel very good about this tie.

dam it i keep getting mixed up , i thought both busi and rakitic were suspended and thats why i put denis there , well if rakitic is available then playing Gomes would be idiotic , but leave it for lucho to intentionally try to screw things up as usual

Neither do I as a Juve fan. Although I always get scared and nervous before big games like this. Also you have Atletico and Real in La Liga, so you on average play more big games. Bayern, and us do have competitors but there is really nobody the same level as us or Bayern or even close that is a real threat. For us Napoli and Roma are our biggest challenges, and they are good teams, but nowhere near the quality of Atletico, or Real, or even Dortmund. The UCL is the only place where we actually get the challenges so I think thats why I always get extra nervous.

again Mathieu ... seriously ... why play him instead of Alba and go for the very dangerous 3-4-3 instead of the reliable 4-3-3 !??!?! can't wait for him to ******** off at the end of the season ,

it's like he already forgot the horrible game Mathieu just had against malaga i mean is he an agent of LPB or something i can't understand any other reason for a coach to deliberately screw up the formation every single ********ing game
