Who remembers 2004? These were the brackets then:

    AC Milan vs Deportivo
    Lyon vs Porto

    Real Madrid vs Monaco
    Arsenal vs Chelsea

Everybody was expecting AC Milan vs Real Madrid (or Arsenal) in the final. The 2 weakest teams, Porto and Monaco had almost no chance to make it to the final according to the so called experts. So don't discount CSKA and the French teams, anything can happen!

Bayern vs. Man U was a great game.

I hope Rooney is all right though, I wouldn't want a player of that caliber to miss the WC. If he's out of commission for a while I think United can kiss their title chances both domestically & internationally goodbye.

Inter, like Espanyola, understands how to defend Messi. They do their homework. Not all teams do.

I am just sad that the beautiful game did not prevail and that the defensive practical game which is not aesthetically feasible by fans prevailed, I blame it on the volcano, sorry Pep.

To be honest, I think the kind of defending we saw last night is an art in itself, and it doesn't always have to be the pretty football that has to be rewarded.

On a sight note, I hope UEFA has the balls to book Busquets retrospectively because the kind of cheating web saw last night is infinitely worse then the delaying tactics you see employed by players.

It was actually that piece of cheating that made me hope most that Inter would prevail. Barcelona may be classy players with the ball at their feet but they are classless when losing.

I completely agree. I hope UEFA will do the right thing and allow Motta to play in the final. Busquets deserves a several match ban.

No, it's not. The translator just got lucky, that's all.

No, delaying tactics are infinitely worse. And no, Motta won't play in the final, that's well deserved.

How is Motta being suspended well-deserved when Busq. blatantly flopped?

I was actually rooting for Barcelona until that moment. If UEFA has any credibility they will suspend Busq.

I hate delay tactics, but flopping like Busq did is far worse then delay tactics. Anyone who does not think Busq flopped is out of their minds.

Well, you have to admit it was a disgustingly atrocious foul of the worst kind, so the red is well deserved. I was actually rooting for Inter until that moment. Motta won't play in the final. Anyone who thinks the red is not well deserved is a moron.

I don't think you'll find many neutral fans who would call that a "disgustingly atrocious foul of the worst kind". Motta put his arms out to shield the ball, which you see almost every time the ball is rolling out of bounds. He accidentally caught Busq. in the face. Without the antics, it's a foul, maybe a yellow. But a red? No way.

He caught Buscuits in the neck, not the face. Buscuits then put his hands on his face because Barcelona players are angels and never do anything wrong.

No, it was not all that atrocious of a foul. Anyone who thinks what Motta did was worse than what Busq. did is a complete idiot. The red was not well deserved, even if you are not erudite enough to pick up on that.

The dive and roll act really was a shame. It leaves an unfortunate taste in my mouth. Barcelona is truly a magnificent team, one of the greatest in recent memory. A Barcelona-Bayern final might have been wonderful.

You could give a yellow card for this, red was sure too much IMO...
The referee was influenced by the theatrical scene of Busquets .

The red was well deserved. Anybody who thinks otherwise has an extraordinarily profound mental retardation.
