At this rate we’re going to land Inter as the 4th and be in the group of death for the second year in a row.

    Group of death confirmed.

Suppose it'll motivate the players to rise to the occasion once again.

    Love the ESPN headline

“Tough UCL draws for Man United, Liverpool”. PSG, Napoli, Liverpool and Red Star Belgrade; Juventus Man United, Valencia and Young Boys? Get stuffed ESPN.

I think we'll be ok, we rise to the occasion whenever we have tough groups and when we got an "easy" one a couple of years back, we fell apart.

Remember when we were trying to get into the CL, we all said it would be great to play in places like the Benbabeu, the Camp Nou and the San Siro? Well, here we are. And believe me, none of those teams will be happy about getting us in their group. Getting Inter from pot 4 was bad luck, but this is not the same Inter of years past.

    COYS!

Group A is no slouch. Group C is not easy either. Spurs probably have the toughest pot 3/4 combo, but are far from in the most difficult group.

Love it. Every game will be a goodun. That's why we are there. Definitely could be a challenge to qualify, but heck after last year we're no noobs any more.

True, but I also refer you to Real Madrid. Spurs did beat the "best."

Happy with the draw, but really disappointed with the fixture dates. Getting away from work this fall is going to be tough, and the week of my best opportunity we'll be away.

Outside chance at PSV on 6 Nov; but I probably won't be getting over this Fall. :(

It appears that UEFA is accepting that Spurs are changing stadiums at some point and are allowing it. Otherwise, Wembley would already be scheduled for the November matches.

Dortmund in the round of 16. Would have preferred someone less familiar, perhaps. Son will have another chance to torment them.

I was hoping for someone we'd not played recently - which meant Bayern, PSG, or Porto - but you don't have to be in this too often before you've seen most of the perennials. The good news, of course, is that come the Spring, any draw in the Champions League means a marquee tie. And Dortmund is no exception.

The main thing, though, is that we win the tie, because the first leg of the quarterfinals will be April 9/10, during which I shall be in blighty. 50/50 we'd be away that leg, but a CL QF at the New Lane would be rather tastey, eh?

    Come on you Spurs, then.

Tough draw but we could have got PSG or Juventus so I'll take it. And Liverpool and Manure did not get their traditional soft draw - maybe the Football Tides are turning.

We do have the advantage of having played Dortmund in 2 of the last 3 seasons, so we will at least be familiar with them. Their club model is excellent: Despite having shipped out players like Aubamayang, Yarmalenko, Sokratis and Hummels, they are walking the Bundesliga with an unbeaten record. Hopefully by then, we will have some of our injured players back.

quite tough draw, but we sort of know dortmund already...
    could've been worse though.
actually i think this year is one of the strongest pool in cl qf ever, there's no really weak teams.
let's hope spurs will be in even better shape, able to play at their own stadium and w/ (almost) no injuries!!!
