Without Cech, we'd be in mid-table. but then he should have saved the two goals yesterday.

Did he make these mistakes at Chelsea?

That said, imho he's our playrer of the season this, over Ozil.

And if Villa don't score, at the least he'd share the Golden Glove.

It's actually pretty easy to fix Cech's near post problem. There needs to be a specific plan (you know, like a coach would do) for shot blocking. The defender needs to get his feet together and hold his ground. That way the keeper isn't surprised by shots going between defenders' legs and sneaking in the near post.

he should anticipate anything, and plpayers will shoot on sight whenever they can. maybe it's a one off, but then he should do and know better.
