I must congratulate Inter on the successful return to the fight for the CHL. From the international point of view it is all very saddening, but the league itself is rather interesting because of this incompetence of the Milan teams. Is there any other league where so many options exist for the 4th spot and the 3rd is far from being secure as well?
@NickyViola congratulations on your new calabrese owner. May he teach the good people of Florence how to make Fritelli.
My breakdown of the competition through rumours: Juventus - Bringing in De Ligt ... the best cb prospect in the game gonna be tough Inter - Linked with Lukaku, Sensi, signed Godin but will sell Icardi Roma - Selling Manolas and maybe a couple others, bringing in young talent (no stars yet) Milan - Bringing in Theo Hernandez, linked with Torreira and Ceballos (I think we should go after one of them if they're on the market, preferably Torreira) These 4 teams will be the competition for next season. With what I think their expectations are Juventus is going for the Champions League, that's clear. Expectations: Treble Inter is trying to shrink the gap but also push to be a knockout UCL team which they probably will have enough firepower to do. Expectations: Top 3, Quarter final of UCL. Napoli is trying to shrink the gap, high profile names coming in needs to put more of an emphasis on a we mean business now. Expectations: Top 2, Quart final of UCL Roma is trying to manage the sales of big players with players with potential so they can deal with their finances. Expectations: Hopeful of top 4, who cares about EL unless they find themselves in the Quarters. Milan is trying to make smarter buys and is shifting a lot of players along as their contracts are expiring. Can't make huge deals due to 2 summers ago they still have amoritization to pay on those fees including for next year. Expectations: Top 4.
I for sure get where you're coming from but Illicic and Papu will be another year older and it'll be tough to replicate their form as well as balancing the UCL. I don't think they have the depth for that as Milan will only focus on Serie A. Btw nice meeting you
Don't bother with il chooch, he sees the memory of Sal, who he helped to kill off, everywhere... even in his cheerio's in the morning. It's just a guilty conscience.
Too young to win anything this year and some of their results will be very weird. Would not be surprised if they beat/tie Juve and then follow it up with a loss to Lecce. With De Rossi and Manolas gone too they have no experience to guide them. They should have tried to keep De Rossi just for this season
Inter officially got Sensi as well as Lazaro and is trying another bid for Barella. Inter can lineup like this next year. Handanovic Skriniar Godin DeVrij Lazaro Barella Sensi Naingollan Perisic Icardi? Martinez I hate to say it but that's a scary lineup to go up against
Icardi I can understand but why are they trying to sell Naingollan and Martinez if they're trying to strengthen?
He was linked with Barcelona because Messi and him worked well together in the Copa America. I don't think it'll gain any traction though. Conte will most likely play the 3-5-2 and use Martinez beside whichever striker they bring in to replace Icardi.
Young and inexperienced. Gonna be tough fight with Milan and Lazio for the 4th spot in Serie A. I don't think Atalanta has the squad to balance the Champions League and Serie A and they'll fall to mid table until around december unless they progress to the Europa League in which case I think they'll finish somewhere around 8-14th position
Basically: Juventus will be stronger Napoli will be stronger Inter will be stronger Atalanta will be stronger Roma will be stronger Milan will be stronger Lazio will be stronger Fiorentina will be stronger This is definitely gonna be an interesting season
