That’s not exactly true. Vela was really young and inexperienced back then, that said, he was not a bad player. His problem was simple, Arsenal played with a single striker, Vela back then gave no ********s about defending, and Walcott was always going to be favored due to being a English young talent. But him not defending really ********ed him over back then. He had the talent but was still very far away from being a starter or important attacking player, he needed to prove himself as a team player and failed at that. Wenger couldn’t rely on him as a winger in his system.
Hmmmm So if he only performed in Cup games, one would think he would earn consecutive starts in those Cup competitions. He rarely did. That was one of the biggest criticisms against Wenger, that even when Vela played and scored in Cup competitions, he rarely started back to back games. Which is why he went to Real Sociedad and started showing what he could do with consistent minutes, there was a debate amongst Arsenal fans as to whether or not that approach could've helped in his development while he was at Arsenal. I also watched all of Vela's games at Arsenal.
Went to the game last week. LAFC con un buen ambiente. @thedragonrik58 were you there playing your drums?
When the rumours of Vela to Barcelona were bouncing around all over the media outlets, some Spanish old head called Vela a "Culo Gordo" since I stopped following Velas career when he decided to join the MLS does he really have a "Phat Ass"? Is his extra weight obvious or just media Bs.
In today's preseason match, Vela scored the game-tying goal in a 2-2 draw between LAFC and Atlanta United.

Yeah, but what I meant was that he didn't have any connection to the nads. Nor by birth nor by family. At least guys like Edgar Castillo and Jermaine Jones had those types of links.
GOOOOOAAAL!!!!@11carlosV sneaks it home with the right foot!#LAFCVAN | #StreetxStreet pic.twitter.com/sEWt3ETLJ4— LAFC (@LAFC) February 24, 2019 Apparently LA is playing.
Yep, last preseason game. I was there drumming, it was the only goal of the game. He got hurt though. [emoji53]
