Mod duties don't mandate massages for strangers, so I'm keeping my prowess AND the tiara! (You can take the sash, though. Too itchy.) Besides, I gave my ex hundreds of massages and look where that got me!

Another incredible crowd today. Even got to hang my #UpperLegion sign until the 25' when game ops made me take it down because it was covering up the Harrah's casino advertisement

Today was indeed brilliant. Helped that it was a beautiful day, too.

I feel fairly safe in saying we just might lead the east in attendance. If they can do this a few more times while at Bobby Dodd then approaching a Seattle-like season average is distinctly possible! I'm stunned at the prospect, and proud to be doing my part.

We're gonna have 5 consecutive home games within less than a 3 week stretch in September. Won't be too good for attendance.

Depends on how the team is doing. If they're in the hunt for the shield I don't see us having a problem with attendance

Thirty thousand season tickets sold - single game tickets are hot commodities. Just called the ticket office to see if I could pick up a fourth season ticket and was told the waiting list was skyrocketting. I think - for this season anyway - we'll have full houses. But any time our attendance dips below forty K people will begin tutting and saying, See?

Even these first two matches I was offered free tickets from at least 5 people. I think attendance will be strong tho, I just think that those 5 games in a row will see a dip. College and pro football will also be back.

And a road trip to New England 3 days after the last of those 5 home games.

The catch will be those two weeknight games. We haven't had one yet and Lord knows what it will be like when we swing, say, an Open Cup match vs. Richmond on a Wednesday. Bottom line, we have to expect some games won't be near the full house we all desire, especially when families/kids can't make it and most of us are coming off work. But this is something we and the team know is part of the deal, so no cause for panic.

I agree a lot will have to do with the team's success at the time. Win those first three and heck yeah the last two will sell out. Come into that last game limping and we might see just the 30k ST holders, with some of those also taking a night off. Granted, how cool is that to say we might "only have" 30k?!!

Lastly, I'm counting on the MBS experience in the MLS set-up to be a boost. I loves me some outdoors but it is nice to go and know you don't have to worry about rain or cold, or get sun in your eyes, etc. If the venue is everything it's supposed to be then we should at least eliminate that from the list of reasons people might not come out. <ForestGump>That's good. One less thang.</ForrestGump>

Having gone to the Bobby Dodd games (and formally living in NY/NJ and Philly), I can say that Atlanta already has a much better game day experience and crowd. Multiple supporters groups working together to be loud, but even more than that, the general crowd is getting into the chants and singing. Plus the A-T-L Viking war chant is already the best chant in MLS.

I love that chant. I'm an old, cynical bastard - wanted in six states - but that chant gave me goosebumps. Nothing gives me goosebumps. Maybe geese do. But that chant . . . damn.

Adding the A-T-L certainly helps it stand apart from the norm. We do need 1-2 more originals, though.

I like it too but I've heard it in Seattle, and Portland's PT/FC call and response is similar.

Anyone know if the club or a supporters group has a coordinated away game effort? Where interested parties gather to acquire a block of seats? Strongly considering OCSC and Revolution roadies at the moment.

I don't think the team does it yet but it appears most savvy ticket offices will recognize a section as being designated for away travelers, with any leftovers going into the walk-up pool. But either of Terminus Legion or Footie Mob should have someone coordinating road trips for their members and I'm sure they'd welcome stragglers. They probably put out the sounder about potential for each game and then if there's enough traffic they'll organize something to complement the trip. Maybe not actually do the travel planning for you but put you into a block of seats and arrange for tailgate affairs while there.
