    Two important things:
    - Its been resolved quickly.
    - For all the bickering with FECAFOOT its important to note that the players were united in this and there is no internal fighting like in 2002 or 2010.

As long as there is no internal infighting which results in the best players not starting the opening game (vide 2010) then it should be fine.

No-one expects anything from Cameroon this time around, so whatever improvement they deliver on 2010 will be an improvement.

It's a shame because they have more talent than they've shown with this generation of players. You'd think they could at least win a game. Pretty decent friendly showings of late. Even the Paraguay game wasn't bad.

And that Paraguay game was played with reserves.

Well they finished with zero points and melted down in 2010 so there is no way to go but up...

well, they finished 2010 with 2 goals and -3 GD, just 1 goal and -8 GD this time, so I guess it can be counted as a new low.

It would seemed 5 slots is one too many for CAF.

    What a ridicuous argument.
Apart from the fact that CAF is the largest federation so less slots is a pipe-dream - each World Cup has a team or two that collapses. This time it happened to be Cameroon. Doesn't mean that teams like Mali, Egypt, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Zambia, Morocco, Tunisia, Cape Verde would have collapsed as well.

Get out of here troll with that junky no way CAF will ever accept less spots. Seeing how 4 CAF have a legit chance at still making it to the R16. Cameroon collapsed and nobody nor I expected the to do much at this WC. Let's just measure just UEFA by how poor England did huh fair enough.
