We have all been very angry and frustrated as of late. But I gotta say, the FO has seen the error of their ways, and has really made some good moves. Since this joke of a season started, as of today: OUT Jaqua Quaranta Russel Sturgis (booo, but circumstances make it understandable) Findlay (ditto) IN Pavon - Money. This guys gonna tear it up Xavier - Money. Much needed class, sophistication, and experience in the back Buddle - SFSG. So far so good. A legendary MLS headcase, but is athletic enough, and talented enough to get 7-8 goals a season. Definite upgrade to Jaqua, though vs. Findlay . . . we'll see. Klein - Money, I can't remember EVER having pure muscle in the midfield like Klein. Gray - Dunno, but he'll bring depth to the back 4.
Plus, the Galaxy have 4 games in hand. That's 12 points that they can make up which will put them in 3rd place. All we can hope is that the guys gel. Then the Galaxy can make a good push into the playoffs.
I sure hope so, but I just can't see us playing well enough for the remainder of the season to get in the playoffs with soooo many games and so many of them on the road.
I sent the news to my "soccer" list and everyone was excited about the Jacqua trade. The only one that made sense. Really nice guy but my goodness....
I too confess he was a nice guy and sounded intelligent during interviews. I like to hear people with a brain talking soccer. But, this is a business too and nice guys sometimes dont finish first.
