I agree with the English commentators who have been saying that Hamsik has saved the game. We allowed Cagliari too much at first, and perhaps we really were a bit nervous. The game was untidy, and what we needed was to stop mindlessly push forward after each Cagliari chance and start controlling the game like we have been accustomed to. Who took care of that? Hamsik. He's not reaching his standard, but I think I understand both his value and his desire. After so long with Napoli he is fully concentrated on the team. We have seen Zielinski start a game and flunk it, and we have seen him excel, without showing the Hamsik value. That's what I think, at least, and apparently those two f*c*ers I've been listening to agree with me. However, the important point is, how can anyone pick on Hamsik after what we were doing in the first twenty minutes or so is beyond me, we were definitely asking for trouble, and Hamsik was definitely trying to fix it. That man wants that title, perhaps that's been affecting his individual performances, but then again, his team performance is spot on.
Goal Hamsikk. He really turned it around at the half. I hope Sarri takes off Mertens. He's looking tired and he had played midweek. We have Roma & Inter up next.
