According to wikipedia, amazingly enough yes. Yes, zebras' habitat ranges across southern and eastern Africa, including Botswana.
THIRD ROUND FIXTURES Oct. 2 Zambia vs. Botswana Oct. 3 Cameroon vs. DR Congo Ivory Coast vs. Nigeria Oct. 4 Ghana vs. Kenya Oct. 7 Nigeria vs. Ivory Coast Oct. 8 Kenya vs. Ghana DR Congo vs. Cameroon Botswana vs. Zambia
Nigeria getting eliminated early has been in the cards for a while now... They haven't outright won a final (or even semifinal) match of any African competition since the 2016 Cup of Nations. They've only ever advanced on PKSO since then (and even lost the WAFU 2018 semifinal on PKs).
Looking like a Cameroon-Ghana final for their lone Olympic spot. Don't see the runner-up getting by Chile in the play-off spot. Though with the two upsets we've had already, maybe we see another? Kenya over Ghana? Ivory Coast over Cameroon?
Not at all convinced about Ghana, Kenya held them to 0-0 in Ghana and tend to be better at home than away (as do most teams) so I give Ghana less than 50% to reach that final.
Kenya defeats Ghana, 1-0, in extra time on a PK in the 99th minute. Kenya advances to next round on 1-0 aggr. to face either Zambia or Botswana. DR Congo leads at halftime vs. Cameroon 2-0. Aggr. currently tied 2-2. No away goals scored, so the game would go to extra time & then PKs if needed.
I watched the game here and there. Kenya had a lot of chances. Ghana just didn't look good. Very scattered and disorganized. Congrats to Kenya. We now have the possibility of either Kenya, Zambia or Botswana going to the Olympics. In the second match, Cameroon scored in the second half and wins 2-1 and advances on 3-2 aggr.
Only five nations have made the Africa Women's Cup of Nations final, and are the only five nations to even make the top four in that competition more than once. Only two other nations have even made the top four in the past ten years. Of those seven total nations, only two remain in the Olympic qualifiers, and they're in the same semifinal. It may sound kinda crazy, but honestly CAF is known on the men's side for being a very volatile region anyway, so the relative amount of order we've seen in the women's top four/five and Nigeria in particular are very atypical for the continent.
Just seemed like Ghana underestimated Kenya. The last third round match Zambia 2 - Botswana 0 Zambia advances on 3-0 aggr. FOURTH ROUND Nov. 4 & 12 Ivory Coast vs. Cameroon Kenya vs. Zambia
The fact that Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana are all eliminated is a shock, but also a boost to the women's game in Africa. Lots of federations are seeing more funding and the results are showing for some. If one of Zambia or Kenya qualify for the Olympics, it'll be another boost for women's football in Africa.

It sounds like the Kenyan federation is trying to put pressure on the government for funding. It'll be very sad if Kenya can't even play Zambia - those are big games for them. The crisis may also affect the men's team: https://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/...s-starlets-may-fail-to-honor-matches-mwendwa/ (Archived)
seems like a stretch for Kenya now. Even if they get the funds for this round, what about the next round(if they win)? Would they be able to get the funds if they go into the playoff vs. Chile? Doubt they'd be able to fly to Chile for the away leg.
Kenya FA will be given funds from Ministry of Sport Culture & Heritage of Kenya. The plea/pressure has worked. #CAFWOQ: @KenyaWNT to resume camp following Kenya's CS of Sports @AMB_A_Mohammed directive that the Sports Ministry will meet the budget for the Olympics qualifiers vs Zambia.
