wow, I dont like Corinthians, but they were clearly robbed tonight. Boca had a penalty against itself (clear handball) that the ref did not call. And it should be a penalty AND a second yellow to the Boca player that used his hand.

Plus a goal by Romarinho that the lineman called an offside but was legit.

LOL!

very hard call for the naked eye in game time.

Yeah, the penalty was missed by the ref. The offside was missed by the linesman, not the ref, but you have to realize that when the linesman lifts the flag he doesn't have the benefit of replay. Those mistakes happen several times a game, against both teams. There was one where Sanchez Miño was stopped in scoring position and it was just as wrong.

This one you bring up was magnified by the fact that the ball ended up going into the net, after the rebound from Orion falls fortuitously back into the path of the Brazilian forward. But before you go all conspiracy theory on us, you should realize that when the lineman lifted the flag he could not have known that the ball would bounce as it did and end up in the net. He simply misread the play (which was a close one and happened very fast) and lifted the flag.

Anyway, I can understand the frustration of Corinthian fans over the play, I would feel the same way if a call like that went the other way and Boca lost a goal like that. But what i cannot stand is the bitter RiBer plate fans who haven't qualified for La Copa in ages, went down to la B, and now resort to crying over their rival's victories. Sad.

    vamos SANTA FE.
