    My first match thread...

Poch going all in on Burnley sitting deep; Janssen physicality favored over Son's pace, Winksy's passing over Dembele's ball carrying. Giving Trippier the chance to succeed in familiar surroundings.

missd the first 5 minutes, but what I've seen so far, both fullbacks have been very poor with the ball

burnley keeps bypassing the midfield with long balls that their strikers easily get to.

spurs long balls get cut out, and the passing on the flanks isn't good enough

spurs midfield needs to step it up

Our close out of deep crosses is inconsistent. This is where the wing backs, who are more used to playing full backs, aren't sure whether they should step up or not

wanyama hasn't had much influence, burnley been bypassing him, but he made a big challenge there

now wanyama coming off injured. dembele to replace. that actually may be a good thing, a bit more skill with the ball is needed

    edit: guess he stayed on

edit2: now he coming off, lol

There's no outlet out there to bring Janssen into play. Except for that one counter attack that Dele should've scored on, everything has been direct. Burnley's midfield has done well to stay in position and not let too many balls get in behind them.

Not looking good. I'm more concerned about the injuries than how we are playing. But second half should be different with Dembele and Sissoko in there.

Will we see Sissoko in the 8 position? Or Eriksen dropping back? Poch has never played Sissoko in CM and it's probably not the type of game yet where he wants Christian in the engine room so I wouldn't rule out us going to a back 4 and Eric Dier stepping into midfield.

    Edit: yup it's 4-2-3-1

spurs best chances have come from rebounds off saved shots. maybe try shooting more?

    sissoko....

touch of a bricklayer, the decision making of a 3 year old, and doesn't seem to have any special overtaking speed.

whats he sposed to be good at?
