    Ti amo, Mario!
Mario came through for us, and could have scored the second most beautiful goal of the tournament so far (after Holland's first goal yesterday).
I thought that the absence of Buffon was a bit scary. Sirigu did well when the ball was shot on target, but was rather scary and poorly positioned in many long-distance shots which fortunately went wide to the left or to the right. If the English had better aim, we could have been in trouble.
    I hope Buffon comes back.
But anyway, Italy controlled possession, was poised and calm in midfield, an in spite of allowing too many mid-distance shots in defense, held things together. The offense did what was necessary, especially in the heat and humidity with second half being harsh on both teams.
A great victory, and with Uruguay's demolition today, we're in!!!

The English tried hard to dive in the box several times. They got no call... they are not the hosts, LOL

Buffon prob back. But how unreal were those shades he was rocking pregame. Anyone know what brand. I want!!!

And sirigu is world class as well. Were quite spoiled with all this depth (minus defence)

Sirigu didn't make me miss Gigi Buffon at all. He had some great saves.

I would have no problem with Sirigu playing the rest of the tournament.

I might get flamed for this but i think Sirigu is a better keeper than Buffon BUT Buffon has the leadership that the team needs which is very important.
