I just finally saw the Jamaican goal, and I have to say (I'm sure it's been said):
what the f*%k was Corona doing or thinking? A completely savable shot. Statue of Liberty is for those who enter the country via Ellis Island. Oyyyyyy

I see dark times for the national team within the next 3-5 years. By then the following players will be leaving Europe:

    Guardado
    Jona
    Layun
    Memo
    Moreno
    Vela
    Chicharito

    And possibly Herrera and Jimenez

I don't see many promising players as of now that can replace them..

Chivas, Pachuca, and America will come to the rescue.

They're the only teams developing and giving a chance to young payers.

Hopefully Santos continues to do so too.

Talavera out for the remainder of the year... He might even be on time for Russia... I guess Cota will be taking his place...

Lets just hope they are all good enough for the NT by that time.

    Devil's advocate:
Seeing as some mids have not been playing well for the MNT.
What you guys think about Lainez getting a shot? Let's say he convinces Osorio enough for a roster spot at Russia.

Note: I have no opinion on this matter as I only thought about it after I remembered about Guardado in 2006.

Have faith, my friend, for this too shall pass. L.A. is hosting the Olympics in 2028, by then Osorio's master plan will be running full steam, the Mexican takeover of Los Angeles will be complete, and we'll win Gold on our way to World Cup glory in 2026 after making the sacred quinto partido in Qater in 2022.

Isn't Lainez a winger? We are covered there with Vela, Corona, Chucky and Damm and if he were to fight for a mid spot he would be going up against Guardado, Herrera, and Jona. IMO finding a great DM is the key, Gallito and others should be given a look.

Lainez for the Qualifying games against Panama, Costa Rica & T&T. He would bring something different to the table that the Gold Cup Bums didnt bring

The position Pizarro is playing now is where he should always play, is that where Osorio has him?
