You can't have red nails at a funeral?

Awwwwwww, you're so placid. I'm more for the immediate solution of making him eat a baseball bat.

So, was Heddy looking freaky anyway even though she finished mid-table, and so didn't get quite the attention?

Also, was Sara Björk Gunnarsdottir there? Are Icelanders more stylish than Swedes?

What do you mean 'lesbian separatism'? It sounds like a technical or political term.

Well, as I see it, there are two ways to interpret what he said: either it was meant as a joking challenge, or he's one of the very most petty people ever, and so lacking in self-confidence that he sees the success of anyone else, even someone who is not direct competition to him, as a threat that must be put down immediately. In the second case, that would make him so contemptible that he's not worth even thinking about further. (As usual, the truth, I suppose, is somewhere in between.) See the two of them here, at picture 194.

Aftonbladet has their pictures in Flash or some damn thing, and I can't be bothered to grab them all. But here's some highlights by picture number:

37 The Swedish men's national team (yes, that's a joke)

58 Women's team, Nilla Fisher playing traffic cop, and you can kinda see Linda Forsberg, at far left, with the gold lamé... thing (I'm not sure 'dress' is the right word)

60 Women's team; Fisher confused by confetti, Hedvig Lindahl next to her

    65 A better shot of Fisher's haircut

99 The goalkeepers (Kirsten Hammarström), and Victoria Svensson

113, 114 Now we're getting somewhere. Lisa Ek, accepting the 'Fair Play' award on behalf of Kopparbergs/Göteborg. One feathered ear-thingie, and the mohawk is ridin' high.

    135 Seger and Sjögran

177 Seger looking confused by the orange shoe in front of her

    239 Vickan again, and date?

245 Members of K/Göteborg, including Linnea Liljegärd and a nearly unrecognizable Sara Lindén

157 - Sexy bathrobes. Who are those geezers and why did they wander into Fotbollsgalan?

177 - Yeah, I'm confused, too. A cleat high heel. Somewhat reminiscent of one of Hope Solos Dancing With The Stars costumes.

Now, wait just a minute here. Second from the left. That *neck* looks familiar! And is that a Big Dyke Watch I see??? Please tell me that's not Stensland. *whimper*

I swear to you I did not recognize her. It's not quite as horrific as what they did to poor Sarah Storck last year but it's not good. Bonnie? A little help, please?

Oh, good grief. I enlarged the photo. It's her. If I can try to say something positive about the look... at least she wasn't wearing Kopparbergs/Göterborgs standard-issue ankle boots.

(Well, of course it's her, but I was trying to cast out some Bonnie bait.) I have heard (apocryphally I'm sure) that law enforcement types would often spot fugitives who had tried to disguise themselves simply by observing their watch; it seems that a watch is one accessory that people for some reason forget to change. Guess that holds true for Stensland as well.

I dunno about the boots, though. They're not great, but are they worse than those funny strappy Mary Jane flats? (Either they're flats, or Liljegärd is wearing 5 inch heels.)

Not sure if these are from last week but as long as I stumbled upon 'em I'll leave it to Rivalry's superior interpretative skills...

Nope, those aren't from this year, but was it only last year? Usch.

Meanwhile here's finally some accessible pictures from this year's Fotbollsgalan; highlights TBD.

Marika! I thought it was some granny in the background. Turns out, it kind of was. Time ticks onwards.

I know, isn't that shocking? It's also shocking how short she is, or alternately how tall Schelin is. (See pic #33)

Other snaps of note (the link again):

1 Jessica Samuelsson, this hotshot young defender that I'm so enthusiastic about that you probably haven't seen before unless you follow Linköping

5 Sofia Lundgren and what some people like to call 'arm porn'

8 Lisa Ek (no explanation required, just go see for yourself)

9 Jenny Palmqvist (sporting Ek's missing ear ornament)

13 Göteborg's coach Torbjörn Nilsson plays with his ball

14 & 15 Two very strange shots of Marie Hammarström in front of Hedvig Lindahl; Lindahl's hair is so big that it creates an amusing effect

17 Nilla Fischer, 'best in show' according some dude who is not her boyfriend

19 Pappa Dala och Lisa Dahlkvist

24 Carloline Seger makes a funny face (read the caption before jumping to conclusions)

34 Lotta Schelin kisses the... thing

And don't forget nr.2, Malin Andersson, looking slightly less like an awkward teenage lad called Jocke than she did in the "Good Old Days".

So far no one has seen fit to comment on Ek and Palmqvist's attempts to tap their inner Mohicans.

Wait... no... surely you don't mean #2. Perhaps #4?

But there's a sight to set Jenson's heart a-flutter, in her recently rediscovered nostalgia...

Yeah, I don't get the feather things people are doing, but she's still pretty damn hot. :D

Too right! I thought it was her from the thumbnail pic I breezed over yesterday but then decided it couldn't be.
I'd actually been debating (in my head, it's a bit echoey in here) whether she makes it into the midfielder's set. Even if all she did was take corner, after corner, after corner...
