Another young centerback to seattle. I think we are done. Oyster, Addo, Andrews, Westphal. Two CBs and two CMs
Well, competition for a starting spot (or spot on the team at all) will be fierce. May the best player win.
The same goes for many teams around the league. Some fringe players will need to retire, sit the season out and wait for expansion, or seek opportunities overseas.
I guess it had been written that dipersal players, along with not counting against salary cap and roster limits, weren't taking up international spots either for this season? Or did I just imagine that? Sorry for having been silent, guys, but I just couldn't catch up with the speed of this draft!
Seattle select the rights to Lindsay Elston, who played for the Reign until she retired mid-season. Why choose the rights to a retired player, unless she has expressed interest in returning?
Her ouster last season left a bad taste in my mouth. One minute she starting all these games and the next she's traded to Boston and then retires
Maybe she did just that? She had a good time in Seattle and plans to return? Maybe Harvey was the problem?
Portland has done well - Purce and Onumonu add pace up front, something they lacked badly besides Raso. And Salem fills a need at DM.
Yes she really started coming into her own with consistent minutes. Though I thought she should have been played closer to goal than where Harvey played her.
Orlando has its first pick coming up. But is there anyone left to choose from? The rights to Whitney Engen maybe?
I think we are winding down here. The only notable player left is Dowie, maybe she plans to return to England. With a new coach, she may want to play in FA WSL and maximize her chances of an England WNT recall. Long shot but you never know.
