Watching the US/Canada feed. I've been watching it for about 10 min.

Are they really not playing because of rain?
    I haven't seen ANY lightning

    This is ridiculous

there was lightening much earlier, when they called the weather to. Game is supposed to restart ~8am eastern.

Not ridiculous at all. There was a major thunderstorm that rolled through. You're seeing the tailend of the storm as the Thunder and Lightning have passed. The teams are required to sit for 30 minutes following the final thunder/lightning spotting. They should be taking the field for warm up in about 3 minutes.

random and perhaps bizarre question. My mom just called me (she's watching the game on tv) and said "the announcers said something about Marta going up into the mountains and disappearing or being lost in the mountains. What happened and how did they find her."

My response was a very confused "eh? what?"

I'd think she'd been drinking only she doesn't drink. Does anyone know what in the world she was talking about or is it time to call the asylum?

ps nice series by Norway for the Gul. shot (still at the 88' here)

Does anyone else think the Chastain looks like something from Girl, interrupted?

She did know she was going to be on international TV, didn't she?

Lori Walker told the most random story of all time that when Jorge Barcelos became the coach, his first task was to find Marta because she'd gone missing and no one knew where she was. They thought she went off into the mountains (of Brazil, I assume). So Daniela, Formiga, and all the players were tasked to help him find her.

They dropped the story after that -- so I don't know how they ended up locating her or where she had gone -- though it appears they did, at some point, find her. :)

Keri Seitz. And I agree. Anyone know what happened to Sandra Hunt? Did she retire?

    If only.

Wow. Yeah, I guess it would come across as your mom being slightly crazy. :D That is a totally random story.

Bad loss for my girls, but they were the big underdogs here. I'm just glad they bounced back (somewhat) from the Japan fiasco and put up a good fight.

Now, let's see what they have for the Euros next year ..
