Yeah I just saw that article. I don't understand their frustrations since it appears he was never eligible to represent Uruguay in the first place as he only lived there for 2 years. However, given that he is from Rio Grande do Sul, it is possible that one of his grandparents was Uruguayan. But, I haven't seen anything indicating that. And a player like Firmino will need to remain in Germany for several years more to even become a German citizen.
