No, Costa betrayed the country of his birth and his importance could have been huge for the country of his birth, but he went Judas. The German comparisons you used are nowhere near as irreplaceable as Costa would have been. He betrayed us when we were in need of a forward, when we lack serious options. That is the difference.

Oh and by the way you were being bored by a half-wit.

Yep, I think the only criteria is that he cannot have played a competitive match for Spain. So if he misses out on the WC he will be eligible for us - when we dont need or want him anymore.

Former Fluminense striker Alan likely to play for Austria (probably by the time the Euro2016 starts), according to reports in Austrian press.

Sup Paulo, Yea he's been in Austria for some time now hasn't he?? Can't be very good if he's made his career in Austria for such a long time.

Yes, he's been there since 2010.

I don't think he is national team level but it's hard to judge, he was fairly promising at Flu before going to Austria.

Yea, I remember it was him and Maicon Bittencourt. Sadly they both left and have had some pretty stellar careers, except it's been done in some sketchy leagues (Russian and Austrian).

Well before the money came in for Flu and the rest of the league.

    Yes, exactly.

He was linked to some Brazilian clubs in 2012 or so but unfortunately he didn't return.

Pronto para jogo da Espanha, Judas Costa diz: "Sou e me sinto brasileiro"

Atacante da seleção espanhola declara que nunca recebeu um telefonema de Felipão e explica que atenção de Del Bosque pesou na opção por La Roja

    - Felipón nunca me telefonou.

Sorry for the confusion. I made those edits. He didn't actually call him that; he called him Scolari.

And then forget him. But let's remember, it has to be an official game. At least last we've heard. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah I just saw that article. I don't understand their frustrations since it appears he was never eligible to represent Uruguay in the first place as he only lived there for 2 years. However, given that he is from Rio Grande do Sul, it is possible that one of his grandparents was Uruguayan. But, I haven't seen anything indicating that.

And a player like Firmino will need to remain in Germany for several years more to even become a German citizen.
