Monday 17 April 2017 Riverside Stadium USA TV: NBCSN 3pm ET Apathy, schmapathy. The show must go on. Which includes a matchday thread! Not much to say, and not much time either. But if we don't get all 3 points tomorrow, then even making it into Europa Cup isn't even a given.
Pretty surreal how bad Arsenal is. No 4th place trophy, no hope of StTD, and looking like missing Europa might turn out to be a blessing.
Wenger will be saved from absolute complete wrath by Middlesbrough being horrid. I probably won't watch. I may record it to see the goals but that's it. Expect us to win fairly easy and all the idiot Wenger-in acolytes to point to it as proof that he still has it and we can still qualify for champions league. Cue inevitable cycle of stupidity continuing.
0 - 0 And the way things stand, we'd likely have to lose the rest of our games to finish outside of the Europa league places.
It's hard to care as a fan when the team itself has repeatedly given displays as if they don't care. It's not like the fans haven't done their part to show up and help drive the team on. (See the LCFC match last season) I'll be en route to a meeting this afternoon so it's app reports for me. Seeing as the ability to even trip up Man U is less and less likely my thoughts with each game are shifting from results for the season to shaping the side for next year. Given as I have no idea how the lads will respond to last week's abysmal display, let's pile on and call it a 1-1 draw.
Are my eyes deceiving me? A 3-4-3 or close to it? Well this should be interesting. Perhaps the hold my jacket/wine memes were right on point.
Big Sam's shit talk last week got Wenger shook and changed his tactics. Thats what he always does whenever media or opposing managers criticize his tactics. Another example of him being washed.
We'll see, but I think we're more likely to see Gabriel playing at right back. Edit: nevermind, that's what the club put out.
Always? Hardly...If it was always then no one would be complaining about how stagnant we are tactically. We've played something of a 4-4-2 in desperate measures, but besides that it's been the same ol setup.
Wow. I don't know if this is bold or foolish. When was the last time we played 3 at back??? Sure it's en vogue in the EPL this year, but seems a little risky to me. We shall see!
Forced to watch this from my desk using NBC's streaming. Of course it crapped out right as they're about to KO. Restarting it... hope it holds!
Excited to see us try a 3 man back line. Think Bellerin would be better suited to RWB or RM vs playing RB in a 4 man backline.
