Is Cops MX a highly valued domestic trophy or is it just less and less importance each year like the English football cups?
It’s equivalent to the MLS Open cup. It’s a great opportunity for the reserves to get minutes and make a name for themselves.

Rodolfo Cota was signed with the idea the former Chivas shot-stopper would replace Yarbrough in net. He did, but things didn't go as planned for Leon and after a managerial switch, it's once again the U.S. international holding down the starting job for Las Panzas Verdes.
so his competition was very poor? I really can't get a pulse on him. Some say he's very terrible and yet he's pretty much been the starter for several years at his club.

Liga MX is not known for excellent goalkeepers. He is very weak on crosses and commanding his box. Perhaps the worse US GK in recent memory in that aspect, which is fatal to any future with the nationa lteam.
