    Can someone tell me how Lovren has gotten his place over Gomez? Surely it has to be something Klopp is seeing in training because I hold my breath every f ucking time Lovren gets near the ball.

    Word is (unsourced, naturally) that Klopp has problems with Gomez’ attitude in training.

    It’s crazy that we would have sold Lovren this summer if the price was right. He’s now started some really important games and will probably start against City.

    The Matip injury is a big blow. He was in incredible form.

    Sky has it, unsourced. “We have heard…” and The Daily Express has a variation, that Klopp and Gomez have had a falling out and he wants to move. Both 2nd/3rd hand without direct quotes. But it has been a surprise that Lovren has been given the nod twice in recent games.

    Yes. Kind of. Maybe.

    This sort of thing is how agents sometimes work - unsourced articles, no attribution but putting player and club on notice. It’s not unknown for agents to do this unbeknownst to their clients. Equally it can be another club sowing mischief. Marca in Spain in notorious for “not working” :whistling: with Real. And the first thing most people say is “sounds wrong, but no smoke…”

    It certainly sounds as if there’s trouble in paradise, but maybe in 2-3 weeks time we’ll all be saying, “Wha’??”
