Are we ready? What I want from this game is three points and no more than one goal against. The defense needs to show signs of life.

I think I am relieved to see Pulisic on the bench and I sort of hope he doesn't even sub in. Playing through "it" hasn't been working. Rest is the next thing to try.

Castro screws up his first touch of the match.

Well, I am not really getting when I wanted. The defense is mostly relying on Augsburg not making their final connection. Hopefully the second half is more organized both on attack and defense. I'll take the second half as a test of Stoger, since BVB have the quality but their initial plan hasn't looked good. How well will Stoger make adjustments?

Castro has been crap the entire time.

Overall I see a lot of good effort but very poor link up play. It's like the movement is there but highly inefficient.

More in control this game , but that's probably down to Augsburg . We're still terrible to watch

I thought it was a decent first half. We lost a bit of the control towards the end. But for some parts of the game, it looked ok. Faster passing instead of keeping the ball for too long and strong pressure on Augsburg when they got into possession. But there wasn't much action in the final third for us.
The offensive 4 work. Weigl showed some good signs but a stronger presence from the midfield overall would help.

Dahoud in for Castro. Too many attacks died with Castro.

1:1. Not really surprising because the second half wasn't good.

Sokratis dives too much, especially on the offensive side. Costs us a good opportunity in their box.

The equalizer was a shocking lack of effort by Sokratis.

We just blew a wonderful opportunity to score all 3 points.

The time-wasting at the end by Augsburg was ridiculous

Stoger has zero offensive plan. I get that he did not have a summer to implement his strategy or bring his own players but there should be something, a trace, a hint of offensive plan. I see nothing.

Annoying draw. Dahoud had two good opportunities, the second one would have been a great goal. He was probably one of the few positives of this game. But we needed to concede a goal to give a damn about the game which is a theme for us. We barely survived Gladbach in similar fashion which could have just as well ended in a loss.

leave where?? and when? The sooner he can leave is in the summer and by then stoger will probably be out and reus stay... or something

That wasn't fun to watch except for the end after Dahoud and Pulisic came on. Then there was a ton of threat, but none of the opportunities fell. Batshuayi wasted two good ones, Dahoud and Gotze both came close on goals that would have been individually manufactured, not the result of excellent teamwork. The defense looked terrible. Stoger failed the "second half adjustments" test. Two points were lost. I guess it is better than a loss, but that is grasping for positives in what needed to be a home win.
