Nice, Kuba gets his goodbye from the fans. Anyways, not to take anything away from a good team performance but Wolfsburg really has turned into a crap team. Schürrle worked hard but was probably among the weakest performances. I thought Castro played well and it's good to see that Bartra continues his streak of good games.
Marc Bartra was excellent. Apart from Schürrle, almost everybody played well. PEA did his part despite not scoring. VfL were awful though.
Marc Bartra vs Wolfsburg: 1 key pass 3 shots 2/2 tackles 2 interceptions 1/1 dribble 4 clearances 106 touches 74/87 passes 85% completion
Great to see some of the more maligned players turn in good performances (Bartra, Ginter, Piszczek, Castro). The subs (Pulisic, Kagawa, Merino) came on after the game was decided but looked sharp and aggressive. I haven't seen the last 2 matches, but looking at today's statistics, and the attendance of "only" 56.900 tells that something is not as it should be. There have been always over 80.000 as far as I can remember, even in cup games. I hope statistics are wrong this time, but if it is correct, it's more than 23.000 less that usual. I don't have information about ticket prices in Germany, but lets say it's € 25. That multiplied by 23.000 it's staggering € 575.000. If that is a result of poor performance in last 4-5 games, it's something for the board to think about. Football is a game for supporters, and if you don't perform they will not support you any more. And who is responsible for the performance? Well, it must be the coach. He picks up the team, decides the tactics, and more less responsible for the results. But I sincerely hope the statistics were wrong!
I guess you did not only miss the matches, but the news about the club altogether for the last 3 weeks. Do a quick google... or see this : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Dortmund-forced-close-famous-Yellow-Wall.html
They really were. Wolfsburg were rubbish though. I will still feel more comfortable when Passlack and Sokratis sign contract extensions though.
